I would definitely have ordered the black rims for my Lariat.

Also, I would have changed the tonneau cover. I got the roll-up and it’s sort of a hassle and I don’t like the way it looks when open. I did not do my research on that. It’s my first truck I thought that I had looked at all the tonneau options…..NOT! Lol

I LOVE my Maverick Lariat but the only thing I really dislike is the ghastly blue interior. I hope Ford wakes up on that issue and offers either black or tan in the future. I have a pepper red truck with three interior colors. It looks ridiculous. Whoever designed that must’ve fallen on their head during the design process! LMAO

Picked up my Maverick last week. I would not change a thing, Cactus Grey, AWD. XLT package, trailer hitch, CoPilot 360, Drop In Bedliner, full front floor mats. And I especially would not change my Ford Dealer, Northgate Ford in Cincinnati. Even made sure my 0% financing was locked in. The only real issue I had with them was my trade in. Their offer was exactly $4000 less than what I got from CarMax. I was really surprised at how well CarMax handled the sale of my car. Online offer was $26,000. I was expecting a dogfight. 45 minutes later I left with a check for $26,000. Very professional business. The gal who handled the paperwork said as long as you're honest about your car's condition, their offer is good. Out of the 12 new cars and trucks I've had, the Maverick is far and away the best.

I do find it amusing that so many people say they regret not ordering the moonroof. I have a moonroof on my Fusion right now, something that I wanted for years. Now, after having one for the last six years, I specifically did NOT order it for my Maverick. I simply don't use it very often, and when I do, I usually just think about skin cancer on my bald head!! :D I've also been mildly worried about leaking and mechanical issues (both non-issues so far), and given my lack of use, it didn't seem like something I needed.

Interesting thread. Thanks!

It wasn’t offered, but I would have liked to have the option to get the upgraded radio. My back up camera is choppy and radio is slow to navigate.

I keep thinking I should have added 4K towing but more than likely I'll never need it. Thought the same about the 360 but recently rented a Mustang with that option and did not like it. I think I nailed my order. Cactus Grey (love it), XLT, 2.0, AWD, LUX, FX4, Moonroof, Rear Window, Full Size Spare.
Congratulations on your new vehicle! Happy to hear it meets all your standards.

I am so torn on whether to update my order to add the moonroof it's not even funny.

I don't have my truck, yet, but....not a thing. I ordered exactly what I wanted.

I've got two Mavericks. XLT and Lariat. Personally like the Lariat better for various reasons.
One thing I had done to both was the DIO Touchlink Bed Lights. I definitely would not do these again. They are pretty cool and give a little extra light with the bed cover but originally thought 4 lights came with the kit based on the picture when ordering. Only comes with two and for $200 just don't think that is worth the price. Plus, the install took forever at the dealership as they had not put these on any Maverick's yet. A lot of panels/rubber moldings had to come off, so hoping for no rattles down the road.

I would have ordered 2 and sold one for my own profit and not the typical dealers rip off markup

We didn't opt for the moonroof on our Maverick. Does it open?

Truth be told, I love the sunroof on my MiniCooper. It pops up to let the heat out in Summer, while parked, and the grandkids love to watch the sky through it. But! I would not want it at all if it weren't for the fact that there are soft screens that slide beneath it, front and rear, to lessen the beating sun and to keep out bugs when it's popped up or slid open.

Yes, it opens -- technically, nearly everything is a moonroof these days. A sunroof means that the moving part is metal and matches the rest of the roof. A moonroof is made of glass. I had to look that up some time ago because I've always wondered what the difference is! Some manufacturers will use "sunroof" even though it's technically a moonroof. Weird little fact.

My wife's VW has the screen, and it makes a big difference. If the Mav had one, I probably would have ordered it, but I assumed it's like my current one in the Fusion. My wife loves her VW one because it's massive -- I think they call it a panaromic one, and it's at least double the size of the Fusion's.

I will open mine and really enjoy it a handful of times each year. However, I'm constantly inspecting the gasket seal on the outside and worry about taking the car through a car wash because it leaks quite a bit from those sprayers (not into the car, just down the drain tubes). Those brief and scattered moments of enjoyment just didn't seem worth the $800.
