I stopped by the local Ford dealer to order a bed rug and hood protector and of course parked in the truck area between some of my new Maverick’s older cousins.

Shows how ridiculously huge these trucks have become. But this pic is hilarious!

I've seen a couple Mavericks in the wild, and they don't look too much different than the Ranger.

What is this? A truck for ants?
Nope, it's a truck for normal people who don't do heavy towing or hauling, AKA exactly what most people need. The truck bros with the gigantic superduties who never tow or haul anything are the joke.

1) it’s not that small in person, it’s quite comparable to a mid size.
2) the maverick is parked further back which makes it look even smaller
Hahaha funny photo. You’re right. The Maverick isn’t really small. When I showed it to family and friends (that knew I was expecting it) they all said, wow it’s a big truck. So yeah, it looks big in person.

3. Wide angle lenses on smartphones distort reality
So, I need to park my American-sized self between a couple of Sumo wrestlers and take a pic with a wide angle smart phone.

And blowing their live savings away I’ve seen so many super duties get repoed.

The real kicker for me is that the one in the middle will serve my needs. Understand that may not be the case for everyone. As a bit of a tree-hugger, I see a ton or so more resources involved in the construction of the other two and thousands of gallons of fuel more being used over the lifetime of the vehicles.
that isn’t entirely true, I have both a 3/4 ton diesel and a 2.0 maverick with the 4K tow package. The Diesel with 11K trailer averages 13.3MPG and the Maverick with a 24’ enclosed trailer wight (3,760lb) had a MPG of 12.4MPG. They both have their need.

running without a trailer the Diesel averages 20.3 vs the 2.0L 25.4 mpg
The key is using the vehicle for its intended use.

Im not trying to be negative and only wanted to give feedback from someone that has both points of view. Trust me, I defend My Maverick to the guys with the 3/4 or 1Ton rigs.
