As soon as gas prices go back down, they’ll forget all about that.all my "big truck" neighbors love my FE, and openly admit they are thinking about making the jump when/if these ever become widely available.
Reminds me of when we'd drive past the Corvette lot in Victor, NY and yell at the guys looking "Sorry about your D--K!"Guy in the middle is compensating for big-P.
I miss hopping out of a big rig and getting into my 91 5spd 4.0 ranger or my 74 Maverick. Felt like i was in Formula 1 on my way home if I was doing 70 in a 65.I drove Semi Trucks in and around the San Francisco Bay area for 25 years. Some folks yearn for a BIGger truck. SMALL, AFFORDABLE trucks disappeared for 20 years, due to that silly, BIGGER ego trip.

I think the way world has changed the small truck industry is going take off . People are not going want spend 120 bucks fill up their truck anymore if they don’t need it for small load work . Like funinture , pest control , etc . Plus people want affordable truck in this current climate . A lot of people have been forced sized down naturally.I drove Semi Trucks in and around the San Francisco Bay area for 25 years. Some folks yearn for a BIGger truck. There’s no end in sight for the rest the year . They have only gone up, plus lot people realizing they don’t need f150 or 40k+ truck anymore . The maverick was great test model to show people want affordable trucks they have enough size fit the family . Which the maverick does . The s10s, Rams Dakota are going to come back . Rams in particular is getting rid of the charger, challenger etc. Chevy going stop making the track . They’ll need somthing in the 20-40k range to compete with fordAs soon as gas prices go back down, they’ll forget all about that.
For just crusing around I’ve been fan of Corolla hatchbacksI was just in a Toyota Corolla the past week and a half.
