I was reading some posts on the Maverick owners Facebook page last night, and that was the general consensus!

not sure about Ford as I only have 800 miles on mine but my Subaru is $89 at the dealership...which is why I do it myself

You will probably get some coupons from your dealership to lessen the cost. I get the coupons non-stop.

Not sure what dealer the people on Facebook are using but I just got our oil changed at the dealer and it only cost us $44.95 plus tax of course.

For a hybrid Maverick with the synthetic 0W20, it could be in the $70-90 range, but possibly higher if do a works package with tire rotation - you can use 5W20
semi-synthetic if cannot find 0W20, but may experience lower mileage...

I always do full synthetic, and doing that at the dealership could be over $80. Do it yourself and it'll cost you maybe $30 - $35.

There is a lot of maintenance you can do for yourself that will save you big bucks. Once after spending over $1k for a bunch of front suspension work on another vehicle, I looked over what I got for my money I realized I could have done it myself for about $300. YouTube can teach you a lot.

Since then I've done fluid changes, brakes and rotors, an EGR valve and some other stuff and saved $2k over what the mechanic charged. More than ever it makes sense to DIY if you are at all mechanically inclined.

This sounds more in line. Whenever I'd take my Honda for an oil change at the dealership, it was always around $39.95 or so including a tire rotation, which they sometimes would charge $10 extra for. Either way, no big deal.

Michigan ford dealership for the works package is about $75, but I used to get my focus done under $40

I still think for $75 The Works package is not a bad price for a full inspection and tire rotation plus oil change with Motorcraft oil, I just hope the tech is being paid well for the labor.

My dealership gives me the package at a 50% discount for all vehicles purchased there. Which is why my C-Max went to the dealership while under warranty. This truck will as well, at least for the first three years.

And that's what it cost me for a Synthetic Blend oil change for my Prius V every 6 mos.

I'd rather have the dealer dispose of the oil and filter that I pay for, too much of an environmental hassle trying to dispose of it. Been there, done that ...... I'm done with DIY oil changes.

I always tell newly YouTube certified mechanics to have a back up plan. Like a a way to get a rental car, or a way to tow it to the dealer. Sometimes a job isn’t as easy as it looks on line. It just happens the 3 seconds they skipped over was a Mutha &@“@!&. You’re correct though! Many things can be done easily at home. If you’ve got the tools, time, and space you can fix just about anything.

my Prius suspension replacement cost me $650 compared to $4,400 at the dealer. Front Struts, sway bar links, sway bar bushings, rear springs, rear shocks, front lower control arms and ball joint, inner/outer tie rod ends.
