So, you had to run the power down to the fuse box at the passenger well?I have installed this on my vehicle today no issues I also installed a dashcam. I tapped into micro3 fuse 1_2 for switched power and micro2 fuse 24 for constant power used wago nuts so I can switch the connections around if something goes wrong. All the wires fit in the black compartment behind the mirror. I did have to file a hole for the wires to come out the front.

Yes I refuse tap into any of my factory wires. It took me two hours total and can be reversed in 10 minutes. You will need extra wire the harness they send is short by about 18 inches. If you want pics of something else let me know I didn't know what people would want to see.
Thank you! I'm familiar with tapping from the fuse panel. I did so for a dash cam, so I know the procedure. I can understand not wanting to fool around with any factory wiring. I'll have to consider that for installing mine (if/when I get it)
That is what I did. I don't use homelink. No issues I will make sure when I go to work tomorrow night for sure.
I have the same mirror on order, I had a dash cam installed already, I was thinking of tapping into the dash cam wires....
