It may be possible to take the weather stripping off and form a piece of smoked acrylic around the hood and secure it with some screws into some blind nutserts but I am not sure I want to try forming a 5-foot piece of acrylic to cover the end of the fenders and hood lip. I may need to do it if someone doesn't get the form done soon. I need to drive from southwest Idaho to western Wisconsin in a couple of months during pothole filing season.
Have you seen this one? Seems to be what you’re talking about?

I believe that hood deflector was discontinued because it was causing severe hood vibrations/shake at speed. Something about the turbulence caused by the hood deflector and the Maverick's hood not being very stout was causing some pretty nasty shake. You can find some videos on youtube.

Wow, if it was discontinued, I wish they would have told those of us that bought bought it and installed it. Im one of those that installed it and then got bad hood shake. Did you see somewhere that they had officially discontinued it?

I did not see anything official, just saw it reported here and then saw the Ford accessories website had quietly removed its listing. The part number is floating around and you can search/find it on some of the dealer parts sites, but I think those are either old stock or they have not updated to show it sold out/discontinued.

According to their website, it attaches with mechanical fasteners so I ordered one. I will put up some pics of it when it arrives. Though they did say it may take up to 45 days to ship. We shall see.

Yep, that's the one. Hopefully, the installation instructions are accurate.

Thanks for the link, I wouldn't have found it because they don't link it when you enter 22 ford Maverick, just the Aeroskin

There is more than one method/fix for the hood shake. If you like it, fix the shake and keep it.

What are folks recommending for a good fix for hood shake? We get a very slight shake when going over 70mph, and it's really not concerning, but we figure it also can't be good for the truck long term. Would like to tweak it a bit to make it perfect. Absolutely love this truck!!

Rodog800 had this as a fix: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/added-sound-insulation-to-the-hood.5545/

Can't find the post but another fixed problem with these:

They pop right into rectangle holes already present under hood see photo below.

I had hood deflector for months. Too cold in Michigan to install, just got to it yesterday. I love it!

Try one or more of the fixes, good luck.
