And man oh man is that thing low! Looks even lower than the ones we've seen using those Escape springs. I've been so on the fence with those. I'm going to see what comes of this if Maverick specific springs that give this much drop do not come to fruition. This looks almost like 4" lower than stock to my little eyes. Talk about perfect Sport Truck stance!

All these variants...how about we just focus on filling existing orders first? 🤔

Yeah, because the designers and engineers in Dearborn, cooking up fresh products, should just stop designing, prototyping and testing new products, and instead get on the first flight to Hermosillo and step right into the assembly line. That would be excellent use of Ford paying those designers and engineers $75k+ to build Mavericks by hand.

Having experience supervising a manufacturing floor, I can tell you when the engineers walked through the doors, products were certainly not being cranked out any quicker. Often meant a nice slow or even a complete halt of the lines, is that what you really want? Want them to slow or stop production... Good rant though.

If/when they do release an ST, wonder what the price point will be.

Could it be a “Maverick Lightning” with faux dual exhaust? Sure, makes a great cover, and they’ve all but announced an eMav already.
Could it be a performance model? Sure, that would make a good niche seller.

I don't think anyone's forgetting necessarily, but something to also keep in mind is that the headlights on the Maverick are actually quite low to begin with. I see a lot of similar vehicles tend to have the headlights mounted right up below the hood. The Maverick has the actual headlight portion a good deal lower. Since owning my Maverick, I have yet to encounter a time when I truly felt fog lights were necessary. To be fair I also don't drive all that much or live in an area that has a lot of fog to begin with so probably not the best example. I'm sure there are folks who would benefit greatly from fog lights, but they're certainly not necessary for everyone.

If I add fog lights it will be purely for aesthetics with the occasional use when absolutely necessary. I think the blanks in the bumper just look like something's missing. If a decent looking, relatively simple to DIY installation type of kit comes along, I'll probably bite. I'm not holding my breath from a solution from Ford though.
The blanks in the bumper are where the front tow hooks are when you get the full towing package.

I also don’t need fog lights regularly so that’s not an issue for me either.

It would be cool if there were some sort of forklift device that came out from there so you could move traffic out of your way during rush hour!!! Maybe in the 2023 models.

A street performance version would make a lot more sense (and cheaper development...) than a more capable off-road version.

I think an ST would be a great addition to the lineup!
Dumping research into off road Maverick seems off the mark because the VAST majority of people want the Maverick for what it is - a car based truck. Not a weekend off roader. If you want that Ford has a lot of other options. An ST is the best next choice. It will sell like crazy ( if they can only produce them)

I personally hope of they are gonna do ANY EV stuff that it is either full or not at all. Every Phev I have driving has sucked in my opinion. They all had basically no range to the ev side and the gas side suffered for it so they didn't get decent gas milage either. I know there will be people who dis agree but that was my experience granted they were Mitsubishi PHEV that I drove and I haven't driven a ford one maybe they are alot better.
Toyota Rav 4 PHEV is a beast. Look it up.

I have the full tow package and mine has the blanks. The tow hooks are only included on FX4. You can equip an FX4 without the full tow package. And even then, right next to the tow hooks is... you guessed it, another BLANK that should have a fog light.

You'd think they'd have made it possible to install "accessory" tow hooks and fog lights down there (on the non FX4 trim)!? Ford, are you listening? Doesn't seem to be anywhere up front to easily install LED auxiliary lights.

ST Please. The question would then become a Maverick ST or a Corolla GR.. One will end up in my driveway.
As practical as a Corolla GR is as far as sports cars go, I don't see how it can hold a candle to the utility of the Maverick platform. Corolla would probably be more fun though, especially since you get a manual transmission.

Unibody vehicles designed to be ICE are garbage when converted to EV, so I hope they never do that.

The best EVs are "skateboard" designs acting as the frame with the body just set on top. They could make a new chassis like that and put a Maverick looking body on top, but it wouldn't really be the current Maverick that we know and would really be an all new vehicle.

Well, for me I’m still on the sidelines waiting to eventually place an order. Good news is I will need one in two years so maybe an ST will be a reality by then. Figure I wait a year and place an order then for pickup the year after that. Come on ST model!

I will either get an ST and or a loaded hybrid model. One extreme or the other for me it seems.
