I have nothing but good things to say about Chuck at Hixson Ford in Alexandria. I can't speak for what their current policies are, but I got my order last month with no mark up, no protection package, dealer tint, pinstripes, etc. I did talk myself into buying the extended warranty due to the '22 being the first model year, but besides that my purchase was below MSRP from my x-plan discount. I was told that they are no longer accepting X-Plan however, so your mileage may vary if you're trying to use that.

That certainly matches my experienced at Hixson Ford with Chuck. Top notch guy and they have honored everything they told me. I even cut a promo spot for them I was so happy with them. Great group at Hixson. So there are some dealers out there that actually stand by their word and do business in a professional and above board manner.

I appreciate the reply and suggestion! I'd considered going with an Alexandria dealer when placing the order way back when, I'll keep them in mind if I choose to hunt up a Maverick via a waiting list. I'm looking at all my options going forward at the moment, nothing really compares exactly with the Maverick, of course...

Hey OTACORB, I'm about 99% certain you bought the Maverick I backed out on lol...I talked to Chuck back in October about ordering one and he offered the black lariat that someone else had backed out on, so I put my name on it and waited.

Got the call in January that it was about a week out, but by then had decided I didnt' want a Lariat so I told him go make someone's day. Eventually found a black XL Ecoboost in Houston at Autonation, really great place just MSRP, but still on the hunt for a hybrid!

EDIT: I might have passed you yesterday morning in Pineville, haven't seen any other black Mavericks around here.

Yes, I seen you as you were going through Central Hospital on Rainbow Drive. I did a double take. I am glad you passed on it, but also happy you got what you wanted. My Cactus Gray I ordered was sitting there for 3 months waiting on the replacement parts of the gas tank recall. Chuck offered yours to me when you let him know you didn’t want it. So, you sure made my day!

I'm glad I got it, you can see how much work it's doing for me.

This is the weathertech one, installed myself in about 20-30 minutes. Most time consuming part was taping off and prepping the area.

Handled the trails around Kisatchie Falls like a champ. Glad I had the FX4 skid plate, some of the roots and rocks could have been an issue otherwise.

Just got my a ceramic coating put on by the guys at Ceramic Pro in Alexandria, they did a great job. Dropped it off at 1 yesterday and they had it ready by 2 today, they've got it looking better than it did when I picked it up. Mid-level package was a little pricey, but includes a layer of coating for the entire interior as well.

My wife was behind a hybrid yesterday while I'm still waiting on my to get built here in BR.

I posted this at 3:30 and checked my email at 630 pm and low and behold I got the email from ford at 4:30 that my truck is scheduled for the week of May 9th
