I've only got about 80 miles on it, but I was smiling like a fool for all of em. I'm coming from a '08 Toyota, so having something with all the bells and whistles is really nice. Only negative I've got so far is that putting two car seats in the back is a major hassle. You have to put the seat down and then clip the rear tether for each of them while they are in the spot you want them, and then tighten that strap enough that you can access it once you put the seat back up. I did it, but man was I not having a good time.
Yes I've seen a few reviews where they mention that putting car seats in his really a hastle. I am glad you are enjoying your new ride. I have been so happy with mine thus far and really don't have any complaints. Keep us posted on the spray in bed liner.

Anyone know how much you have to put down for a deposit at either All Star Ford locations, from personal experience? Need to plan ahead for August!

I'm quite enjoying my 2.0 XLT but I want the hybrid at the end of the day and I'm going to make it happen one way or another.
Are you planning on keeping both ?

Haven't been able to get my bed cover put on because I'm getting the bed liner sprayed on Friday, but I got my weathertech hood protector installed between rain showers.

Anyone here go to any of the cars and coffees with their truck yet? I haven’t been to one in Louisiana yet and was thinking about going to the next one.

Still waiting on ours to arrive. It's been "shipped" for some time, but I think due to the price of gas they are pushing it here. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Cars and coffee is a big car meet that is usually done once a month in a city. It’s open to all cars and it’s in the morning on a Saturday usually. (Coffee time)

I haven't read everything on the forum so please correct me if this post is against any rules, but I wanted to steer anyone away from the Rountree Ford in Shreveport if possible. I've had a terrible experience dealing with them since the initial order back in September and now am not going to be getting a Maverick any time soon, if ever. I've never bought a Ford but was willing to give them a try since it seems they've made a great little truck...however, I wasn't even able to test drive my order due to the terrible service I received from Rountree Ford and specifically with the salesperson in charge of all Maverick/Bronco orders (that's what I was told by her at least).

They'll lie and brag about not adding any dealer markup and then require over $1,300 in useless 'protection' upgrades (a pinstripe sticker apparently counts as protection...somehow...) and B.S. 'coatings'. This is directly against requests I made specifically with the salesperson and was a terrible customer experience, literally doing the exact opposite of my request and trying to force my hand on it.

Old-school carsales tactics are rampant all around these days I'm sure, but I wanted to make sure anyone here tried to avoid Rountree Ford specifically if they're in the Shreveport area looking to buy a Maverick.

I'm sure my truck is going to some lucky sucker who's willing/able to afford the extra B.S costs they tack on there, but I couldn't.

Would love to know if there's some good experiences with Shreveport/East Texas Ford dealers that are honest and upfront with their experience and maybe I'll look into getting on a waiting list there.

(for the record I would've been fine with an honest dealer markup quite frankly...if they'd said 'yeah, we're going to add a 2% markup on this because of the market at the moment' I would've gladly paid it. But the underhanded tactics and straight up lies from the salesperson made it clear to me I had no intention of ever giving them a penny, and want to suggest others take my experience as a warning of what to expect)

I have nothing but good things to say about Chuck at Hixson Ford in Alexandria. I can't speak for what their current policies are, but I got my order last month with no mark up, no protection package, dealer tint, pinstripes, etc. I did talk myself into buying the extended warranty due to the '22 being the first model year, but besides that my purchase was below MSRP from my x-plan discount. I was told that they are no longer accepting X-Plan however, so your mileage may vary if you're trying to use that.
