I hope and bet that my October ordered Hybrid Lariat Lux will be pushed to MY 2023.

I know its not an allocation issue because I ordered an EB from the same dealer on Jan 26th and it's already been built.

I got told the same thing from my Dealer. Supposedly the price is also locked but we'll see... if they raise the MSRP I was expected they won't get a cent from me.

Does anyone know the cut off date for when your order would become a 2023? Like by end of April not scheduled your getting a 2023?

At that point I'm going to reevaluate my options if Maverick is not scheduled. 😥

They seem to be scheduling roughly 45-60 days in advance. So you would want to get a scheduling email by sometime in late July. Assuming they don't change the timeline and start scheduling further out.

My order is from Mid-October for a Hybrid Hot Pepper Red XLT with the only add-on being a Trailer-Hitch Connector. The Ford Rep claims my order is: "Unscheduled - Balance Out". "This means the order will not be produced because the model year has balanced out." I just contacted my sales guy at the dealership by email. No response yet.

Thoughts? Has this happened to anyone else?

*** EDIT: My sales contact at the dealer called me to let me know that the truck is still on order and everything looks good with it. He said it will not be a MY2022 because of the Hybrid engine constraint. It is being rolled over to MY2023 and he claims the truck will be built (eventually). Time will tell. ***

Call customer service at Ford. They will talk to you! I called they gave me the story on my order and the problems. They told me that I will not be getting a 2022 because I didn't make the cutoff. My 2022 order will automatically "roll into" a 2023 model. I will have quite a wait to get it, but I believe it is well worth the wait!

Ford told me that the order time will open up for the 2023 in mid August. They also said my Lariat, LUX. CP 360 2.0 liter AWD will probably be at my dealer sometime around December.

That's interesting.

Did they say why you didn't make the cutoff? Was it because of when your order was placed? Or some option on the order that they can't fulfill? Or some other reason?

Also, you say the rollover will be automatic. Did they tell you that you don't have to do anything else to make sure our order rolls over? You can just sit on it and it will turn into a 2023 order?

You may be right. I take everything they say with a grain of salt to be honest. It may have something to do with their lack of allocations and knowing how many orders are in line ahead of mine. Who knows?
I anticipate that expected number of allocations combined with number of orders they have combined with projected (either officially or just logically assumed) possible builds gives the dealer no choice but to prepare buyers for my23!

Wow! That's amazing!
  • Ford Chat says your order has been delivered
  • Your Ford dealer says it has been rolled over to MY23
  • Ford Customer Service says it's in queue awaiting production.
Are there any possibilities left for someone else to tell you? It's almost like they are gaslighting you by giving you every possible different explanation of what is happening with your Maverick.

I know you firmly believe that your order has been rolled over to MY 2023. But If I were in your position, I wouldn't know what to think at this point.
Has anyone reported hearing a wheel of fortune clicking sound right after the person on the phone says "let me check the status of your order"? 🤔

I am going to go with this, their dealer never properly completed ROVP........
Salesperson here. Odds are its all Ford's Fault. They are flying parts in to offset the current constraints, and as of today, stopped orders for superduties and other models. The 2.5L is ridiculously behind in production, so don't hate the dealership too much. ALSO, a DORA is essentially a window sticker. I just gave one out today and they thought a DORA was something else.

I'm really sorry...

However not only is Ford bad at managing backlogs, they apparently cannot craft an understandable email either!!!
