Ordered without ever driving one or even sitting in it. What a weird time we live in.

I was looking for a truck and friend mentioned the new Maverick. I was just beginning research when I was informed they were going to stop taking orders. Feeling panicked I ordered that day. I am having some buyers regret or maybe worry is a better word... as I've never driven or even sat in one. I am worried it will be too small. My car salesman is no help. I feel like he would really care less if I went thru the purchase or not. Heck, if I back out he already informed me they would sell it for $5K over MSRP so he probably wants me to back out. I am looking every day to see if I even see one. They are hard to spot "in the wild" as others have said. I will keep looking and keep reading and watching all the reviews I can. Some day I will get a call I guess and then maybe I can drive it before I sign on the dotted like and hand them $36K. I do know my 6'5 son will automatically get a front seat position when we go out in it. Lariot/Lux/AWD/Red Pepper. I am super excited for the color.

welcome to the club most are in the same boat here. I have been waiting 8 months plus and have parts for a truck I don't own yet. There are others that have been waiting longer

Yup, welcome to the club.
I paid to go to the Dallas car show last weekend just so I can finally see one and sit in it. It was a XL that was available to sit in, I wasn't impressed, it's really basic everything. There's an XLT on display but u can't sit in it, looks a bit better. I'm confident the Lariat lux package that I ordered should be nicer, since I tend to keep my car awhile.

My husband is 6'7" 275+lbs and he fit fine, thou wanted the power moonroof for some added openness. We ordered in Oct (EB Lux CP360 💙 it is on a railcar) after we finally found a dealer w a customers order he could sit in. He is used to an F-150 but has had my Fusion since summer.

I'm lucky I've at least seen and sat in one. I'm 5'3.5" (that half inch matters) and it was very comfortable for me. My S.O. is 5'10" and also found it comfy. IDK if that helps you, but we both have an inseam of 30".

Basic everything?

It's a $22k to $30something pickup.

My last 2 cars have been a $52k Alfa and a $65k Boxster, I think our $22k XL is fine. Love it, in fact.

I didn't get to sit in one or test it until my truck came in. I was already leaning toward purchasing because I prefer the size of the truck vs a mid-size or full, my main concern was how it felt on the road and the interior space. The interior is a lot more spacious than you'd think, I had my good friend ride shotgun (6'8" ~275lbs) and we both had plenty of room in the cabin.

I’m in the same boat. Was checking out the Maverick online for s few months before I ordered. I have never driven or even sat in one but I will in a few weeks as it is on the way to me.

We didn’t test drive our RAV4, and it’s been fine. I haven’t test driven a Mav, but I’m sure it, too, will be fine. These companies have some experience.

I am 6'3 295lbs I also ordered without sitting in one. Two or three weeks ago a buddy from work bought one off the lot and let me test drive his. You will fit, and your boy can probably fit in the back!

I've not even had an opportunity to sit in one, but I know I'll like it.
