I felt a little left out when I didn't get this email. I hadn't heard anything and this was my production week, so I went to check my spam just in case. Nothing from Ford, although if anyone needs to get their, uh, unit enlarged, I've got lots of options for you. Plus, did you know the IRS is sending the sheriff to arrest me if I don't call them right away?

I went to the email with my production date and clicked on it, and look what I found?

Ford Maverick Ford sends out (blanket spam) email -- "An Important Update About Your Order" 1648016673117

I don't know what to tell people who haven't heard anything and ordered back in June. All I know is that my truck is being built and that's another step forward in the process.

I personally didn't mind seeing this email because I am keeping up with the industry and all of the commodity constraints. A dealer that I was talking to about a Bronco Sport a while back happened to place a order on my behalf even though I didn't want to do business with them. In return I also received the same email for that vehicle as well as my Maverick order.

It seems like Ford was sending this generic email to all customers who have orders placed and haven't been scheduled yet. This may be a sign of more communication to come from Ford going forward.

They have thousands of orders and can't personalize each email, they could however perform some analytics to come out with a few different email templates. That would allow the email to be more specific for certain models with trims that have commodity constraints to add a personal touch to each email.

I have not. Are you a hybrid or EB?

But gosh, it's like they're finally hearing us complain about hearing nothing!
I ordered a Lariat on Dec 30th and got this email a couple of weeks ago. I read and thought why say something so senseless

June and July orders you certainly have my sympathy.
Ordered August 18 XLT, LUX, 360.
The good news is I have a great low mileage VW Jetta I'll be able to depend on for several years.
The bad news is never in my wildest dreams did I think ordering a new vehicle would be this frustrating. The subject on the blanket email was quite inappropriate.
" A change in your 2022 Maverick XLT order ". Hopes raised!
Then reading the email to have my hopes dashed.
When Ford made the initial marketing push for the 2022 Maverick, they were well aware of the chip shortage and were in the midst of the Bronco fiasco.
You think a little light would have come on.
We should be very careful with this Maverick rollout.

If you think the current global situation is the same as when the rollout was planned I think you're being a little ignorant. Things have gotten much worse and continue to worsen daily. Now on top of the pandemic, supply chain crisis, transportation crisis, war in Ukraine the whole global auto manufacturing scene was just dealt another blow with the earthquake in Japan shutting down another chip producing factory for a few months.

I haven't gotten any emails from Ford so I was shocked when I did get a call from my sales guy that my Maverick was delivered to the dealership the other day. Wanted to pick it up that day but couldn't for a few days. But did go to the dealership to look at it. It had some options on it that I didn't order and options that I did order that were missing. Asked the sales guy about it and he was unsure but assured me that the VIN matched my order. It wasn't my truck, the dealership was thinking I was the only one who ordered a velocity blue truck. Turns out someone else did and now they have to figure out who that person is...... Seriously how can you screw up an order like that....but the salesman told me that my truck has been built but they just need to figure out where it is...... and I TOTALLY believe him at this point (yeah I might be a bit sarcastic) I asked for my actual VIN but have yet to get it from the dealership.

If you got an email from Ford telling you that your truck is scheduled for production, you can click on the link and get the VIN.

Ignorant, I think not.
You're referring to events which happened 6 months or more after the Maverick rollout.
Ford was in the middle of the pandemic, overreacted and canceled chip orders.
Why offer a LUX package and Co-pilot360 offering you know you can't deliver.
I'd call these rookie mistakes and not those of a seasoned carmaker.

Not even one confirming your order? If you didn't get that one I'd be concerned.

I got that one not more than an hour after the salesperson took my card info and a copy of my license.

This email went out to all custom orders not yet complete the sale yet on all models. I have seen Mach-E, Bronco, and Maverick forums receiving the emails.
Does it mean anything if you didn’t get the email? I haven’t gotten my build date yet but ford has confirmed my order on the 800 line.

There are 2 reasons I can think of why you didn't get the email. 1. You have a scheduled build date. 2. They don't have a certified order. I would confirm with your dealer that they have a COVP/ROVP approval on your order.
