Totally totally agree, Tom and the folks at Chapman made buying with a good discount easy and painless. I get why they charge us the non-refundable deposit which is just covering the charge to ship the car back to PA if we decide not to buy it. The deposit gets deducted off the purchase price so it's not like it's costing us anything (providing we buy it). I'm not sure what people expect, Tom should take the hit if they decide not to buy? As someone else said the only way I wouldn't take delivery of the car is if it was damaged but that would be a totally different story that I'm sure Chapman and Ford would have to rectify. Same as if it came directly to Chapman if damaged.

I mean gosh, look at all the people that paid a non-refundable deposit for the privilege of paying MSRP or worse.
Wait you did not order a lime green 76 pinto?

How would you price of 4% under invoice and having a Maverick drop shipped compare to Ford A-Z Plan pricing and just waiting for it to arrive at the local dealership? Really dont want to read through 28 pages looking for the answer.

Dealing with Horsham was great btw. I put in a request for quote via this forum chat and I think Tom might have even forwarded it to his people while he was on vacation. Easy, painless order with a nice discount. Wish ordering/buying a vehicle was always this easy. Thanks Tom.

Tom if you had an order for an xlt that became scheduled but someone had cold feet for the CD charge let me know.

Once I read something about a guy in Uk who changed his legal name to use a airline ticket issued for someone else.
I think getting the Maverick sooner is more valuable.

If you can get A or Z plan pricing go for that they are the same and its the best option most of the time.
X plan it depends on how much your local dealer is charging for the courtesy delivery fee. Most are 200-400 dollars.
The extra costs on this are $394 doc fee(vs 275 for ford plans) and 200-400 on the courtesy delivery.

Most people are saving at least $1,500 going with Chapman unless you can get A/Z plan then its about equal. Some have saved nearly 6k going with Tom since their dealers are charging above MSRP or having very high doc fees ect.

Edit
I went with Chapman because there is no hassle or haggling or special pin numbers for X plans ect. The price they said is the price. Which is invoice(which is lower than MSRP) minus 4% plus $394 dollars for the doc fee.

So I checked the site and found a bunch of different amounts. Which one would you use to guess the rate they will use?
Good question. I'm looking at a high and low so I have a range in mind. Then again I ordered a hybrid so........... Waiting. Lol

This is like fishing, get your license, get your waders, wait for the bears to leave and start streaming your fly. Each month is a cast.

wait you guys don’t all fly fish? You are missing out.

bears, water, skill, luck, and generally tasty results.

I bet any pony is tasty to a shark. And a maverick won’t even have been branded. ;)

for those with no ranch experience a maverick is any unbranded livestock, usually born wild hence the unbranded status. A Mustang is an unbranded horse, so on a ranch all Mustangs are Mavericks but not all Mavericks are Mustangs.

as a more fun note we would always take a friend to worm the colts. We handed them a long piece of garden hose and a giant pill. The explanation was that we would distract the front of the colt and they would slip the hose up the ‘ahem’ exhaust pipe and blow the pill in.

we of course were using a modern snipe hunt. You get the colt by the neck and get him to open his mouth for a whole syringe of tasty tasty deworming foam. Fortunately no one ever got kicked other than a Rottweiler of mine whom decided chasing the stallion was fun. Until the stallion got bored, stopped running and kicked him in the head. Rocky was fine but after that, stallions and basset hounds were the only thing that scared him (he was raised with a basset hound bitch named Cleo)

Tom & Steve, thank you for your quick response and the offer of a very easy to use process.

People might understand better if you just stated there was a $2k non-refundable deposit, OR the CD/uship as originally offered. Might be more clear from the start, but I don't know if they would understand.

Having paid-for assets a couple thousand miles from home due to the whim of a customer changing their mind is a non-tenable situation if you want to stay in business.
I really don't understand the 'me me me, I want it now' attitude that much, but I'm old.
