Yeah, you're missing the fact that even with the 4k tow package on an ecoboost it's still towing (on public roads) more than twice what it's rated for.

Years ago I was selling my 77 F-250, the guy wanted to "see if the 4wd worked". He drove it into a frozen, flooded construction site. All 4 wheels broke through the ice. I blew the front U joints, and broke the steering gearbox trying to get it out. Finally hooked to a sewer manhole, and winched it out by hand...... took hours. The only person I could find with a truck to haul it back home, was a guy with an S10..... Also, I learned about letting people drive things. I drive, you can ride along. Once you pay me, do whatever you want to it.
