After 20 months finally here in the driveway.
Long anxiety gone.
Ford and dealership came through in end with their integrity in place with many tribulations.
First impressions: what a looker, solid ride and handling and no squeaks or rattles, meets my needs, driver seating fully adjustable, good audio sound, good visibility, drove home 6 mile on electric only, we elderly at 5'8" ish can get in and out easily- no more falling in and climbing out
Surprises: glass has some tinting, no storage bed box on XL model., got bit twice on leg by door corner, radio stays on with key removed until door is opened, makes distinct clicking noise as the sensors start going to sleep, to set cruise push set button up towards plus button not IN, glove box is smaller and shows weak inexpensiveness where other touch plastic surfaces are fine,
Update 9/15/2023
Only 330 miles with half tank left, indicating 42 mpg.
Loaded 800 lbs of bag softer salt and handled it fine.
At 73 though the bed level is tough to get into for me. Had to sit on gate, then spin to knees, then stand up. Unloading was fine backing up to porch level. Wish there was a bed step. I will check for step accessory.
The engine comes on at around 8% energy indication which one needs to creep from a stop to stay in electric to gain moderate driving speed. Has anyone changed settings for high percentage value before engine turns on? Seems it would help mileage in city stop and go driving and save wear if setting could be more like 20% value.
Used to hang plastic bag on shifter but can not here. Currently put a bag loop over center lid and hangs in back floor area. Have to see if I can locate it up front from a vent hanger or door bottle slot not being used.
Love the brake hold at stops but do not use when fine maneuvering. Be nice to have set up in one of the driving modes.
Wife loves the ease of getting in and out and I love the bed for her walking cart.
The adventure begins.
