2.0 4K Lariat. I just did a 4 hr round trip, 80% highway 20% city. Speed was 55-65 mph for most part, couple of WOT passing cars, and temperature was 0C (32F) on no ethanol 91 octane. Had 2 adults and about 150 lbs in the bed. Round trip was 8.1 L/100 kms or 29 mpg.
I can give a direct review in this! My Mav had a scuff on the bumper from the transport driver that delivered it to the dealer so Ford is replacing the bumper. It’s in getting the work done now and I have a 2021 Ranger XLT crew cab 4x4 as a loaner.
The ride is much rougher in the Ranger when...
My Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid has a tow rating of 0 and all the other gas Cayennes are 7,500 lbs. I believe this is because the battery is in the truck floor, and the worry was the trailer would push forward and puncture the battery in a crash.
I am not surprised the tow rating is only 2k for...
So far my 2.0, 4K tow with Falken Wildpeaks over the first 700 miles consisting of 70% city 30% highway (and some highway at 70-80 mph) and about half a dozen remote starts I am at 9.9 L/100 or about 23.75 mpg. I reset my trip meter for one run on rural sideroads at 55-60 mph I saw 8.1 L/100 or...
I voted Cyber Orange and black. I had a chance to get a Cyber Orange XLT from a dealer and passed. I test drove their parts truck which was the same colour, it just looked way to much like what they paint roadside construction trucks here. Couldn't do it. Glad I held out and got my Rapid Red FE.
So I noticed my Maverick was delivered with 2 stone chips on the passenger door. The dealership is awesome and looking after it for me, they are really great. They gave me a 2021 Ranger XLT as a loaner, man I miss the Maverick already!. This thing has step bars, if I use them I hit my head...
My F-150 with a 2.7 Ecoboost was rated at 7700 lbs towing and it weighed 4500 lbs. I towed a 13,000 lb Tri-axle boat/trailer with it for about 30 miles. It was dicey as $hit!
The Maverick towing 4000 lb max with trailer brakes is very conservative considering it weighs 3700 lbs and has a...
I have a rapid red Lariat and many on here thought that the dark blue and bronze/tan interior would clash with the exterior. To be honest you don’t see the two side by side and it looks just fine. I commend Ford for trying something different here.
No here is my F150 it was velocity blue. I actually loved that color, but I also love reds so when this Mav came available I jumped on it. The second pic is my old truck parked beside a carbonized grey Lariat at the dealership so you can see the size difference!
Here she is, getting thrown right into action here with a late winter storm! Truck is running great, rides so smooth and handles much better then my F150.
