I've been contacting the dealership regarding the delay in production of the Ford Maverick I ordered 11.3.21. It is the 2.0 Eco, Lux pkg & 4k towing. He Sent me back this, stating this is the reason. Has anyone's truck with the spray in bed liner been built? I don't want to opt for drop in.

Yes. Not a deal breaker, but an ongoing possible deal delayer.

Note that if you drop the lux package in order to erase the spray-in liner, at this point it looks like you won't be able to substitute it with a lux package with drop-in.

I have the same build as you (ordered 10/26 per sig) and I reached out to my dealer yesterday. He called and we spoke for a few minutes - he confirmed Spray In Bedliner is the big one. I asked in my e-mail about dropping the SIBL and getting a discount (and I'd get the SIBL after-market), and he confirmed he could swap the SIBL for Drop-In but NO change in price. He also couldn't confirm how much faster that would speed production so I said I'd wait.

Hours later I e-mailed back asking about changing the "Black Painted" wheels ($795 add-on) back to factory - not a fan of the look of the 'upgraded' wheels and I could put that money towards snow tires if I decided to.

spray in bed liner has been an unpredictable. It's best to leave it off since you can always get it done locally unless you want that stupid Ford logo. I'm joking.

It's part of the "Lariat Lux" pkg, so you can't take it off, though like I mentioned above the dealer said that it is apparently now an option (but NO change in price...).

No, it's not, I believe it's now a chip issue with the Lux package. My Maverick hybrid is built and shipped, one option I have is the Spray in bed liner.

My build was originally scheduled for early March, then it was moved to early April. Now it's moved to March 21. And it has a spray in bed liner.

I also ordered on Nov.3. (XLT 2.0 with just a few options and spray-in-liner). My e-mail said it was built on Jan. 26. My initial ETA was Feb. 12, but changes weekly. I have no idea what happened to the Spray-liner or if it has been completed. I will let you know someday, if I see my truck.

I have CP360, Sunroof, and SIBL. I know of other Hybrid with the same options as mine that were built this past week. Is your dealership a large or small one? There are SOOOO many other factors that go into this, just to say, SIBL is causing it is false.

you ordered barely 3 months ago and there was a Christmas factory shutdown and Feb is a short month- and you're asking about a "production delay" already? I ordered mid December and expect my truck won't realistically get built until April at the earliest, but more likely well into Summer. I knew that when I ordered it. In the meantime life goes on...

Does anyone know where Ford sends our Mavericks to get the spray in bed liner. I mean the company name.

My truck had a spray in liner as a standalone option and mine was built in December. So you can get them built with it in

The spray in bed liner is the only option. The dealer is a well known one in San Diego but I do not know how many vehicles they sell annually and honestly, I don't care enough to find out. The truck will get here when it gets here. I'd have preferred it be here by the end of last year, but it wasn't. Now it's looking like sometime in April.

I don't know enough to get into the weeds about the dealer's allocation or anything like that. And honestly, knowing that wouldn't do a thing to get my truck to me faster, so I'm not going to worry about it.

It'll get here when it gets here. And it will get here the way I want it because I'm going to have this thing for decades so waiting a few months is fine by me.
