I've got both out now, I'll give it a few days and see if I notice any difference.

In the event that Ford denies warranty claims for XL/XLT Ecoboost and XL Hybrid owners and one still wants to add these, it looks like Varsity Ford Parts has them priced much better than ordering directly from Ford. I'd suggest shopping around but also see how much your local dealer prices them at to possibly skip the shipping expense. I have a feeling some may be able to get these added under warranty but I also wouldn't be surprised if Ford clarifies which models these are intended for and denies claims. The good news is anyone should be able to install these very easily and will not need to track down miscellaneous hardware 🤣

Great info, details, and help!! Thanks for your trying this out and get back to us on research!! Good stuff! I like the price you have above!!! If it comes to an un-winning battle with warranty this would be easy to swing.

In another thread folks were complaining about noice from behind the back seat due to a lack of insulation. Turns out the insulation is only on the Lariat lux with the B&O sound system.

Yep saw that… to me a tad different… this area is one of those built with the car areas… fine line I know… but I have seen some of the oldest shitty cheap ass cars of all makes up to some high end models the fender insulator is just there…kind of strange. I did see the additional sound dampening pillow/pad behind seat with the B&O sound package. That’s an easy fix you can keep a safety blanket with you and use it for sound reduction when not in use behind the seat folded/rolled up as to not interfere with any connections or anchor points.

Sadly there wasn’t anything behind my fenders (no insulators or goodies lol)

No, there wouldn't be. They VIN track the vehicle and remove the contraband before the truck is delivered. I actually think this is a possibility

I’ve got them on both sides but also huge gaps above each one that I can stick my hand through and wriggle them around, so what is the point of having these anyway? Haven’t looked closer for any illegal stuff yet.

Fellow Maverick owners- I had noticed being able to smell oil/engine bay smell(s), when opening passenger door… come to find out the normal black foam/rubber or even insulated carpet material found on most all vehicles was missing!? This is the area behind both door hinges (driver/passenger) that is the fender to engine bay openings. I have attached a couple pictures. You can see where the insulation would attach with a retainer clip….? Is my Maverick the only missing these?, is your’s missing..? Is this another cost cutting? If cost cutting, I will have to add my own, one for noise and wind and etc, but also I don’t want to smell or hear or feel engine bay nuances…?? Never seen this before guys? This is both sides! As you can see the washer fluid reservoir passenger side, and driver side is the same….

I will agree with that… better than brakes, engine, powertrain, safety and security and comfort lol! But it still sucks! I would not have noticed it… but passenger side has a very distinct engine oil smell when getting out or in vehicle… especially after it has been driven any at all. I don’t see any oil or fluid leaks on truck, driveway, and fluid levels are fine… probably just the smell of oil and burn off etc it’s still just at 2,800 miles… it appeared factory dribbled some oil on the front of the engine I wiped what I could.. but it wasn’t bad maybe some still on there…
Your engine bay isn’t really supposed to smell of oil though…. So the source problem isn’t your doors or the bay sealing. I dunno if someone mentioned this to you already
