I won’t make it. Wife is taking the maverick to Houston this weekend. Was looking forward to bringing some XL hybrid representation.
I never got any mention notifications. I guess I have it turned off.
Velocity blue is similar to the Chrysler hydro blue and GM’s glacierbright blue, both which cost extra.
Now ford is offering “azure gray” further hopping on the neutral-adjacent color fad.
I’m part of the cracked windshield club.
never had a cracked windshield before in all my driving. I drove a 2001 f150 for almost 15 years and it still had the factory glass when I sold it last year. It took a beating too, not even a chip.
With 3 kids (4, 2, and 1) I was worried about fitting everyone in a truck smaller than a half ton, but I've been impressed with the Maverick.
You need slimmer designs, but a booster, front facing and rear facing seat all fit comfortably.
Lack of a split 60/40 rear bench is my only complaint...
I didn’t use any tool kits. For the black piece I just pinched it in from the sides with my hands so the middle flexed enough to get my fingers in. Firm pull down and it popped off.
I have the sunroof, so I just opened it up so I could look inside above the liner and used a long screwdriver to...
I was happy to see these came back in stock and were still cheap. Following this thread made for any easy install and no broken clips.
Ford also made it easy by only putting one metal clip on at the factory
I wish I had tapped in farther back from the harness. Made reinstalling a little...
You just need to canvas autotrader. I spent almost two weeks contacting dealerships nationwide back in February for a hybrid. Finally one had a deal fall through and I snagged it. It was sparse back then. Big time mark up might be practically unavoidable these days
Before owning or seeing a maverick I would have probably gone carbonized gray. Now that I’ve seen every color except rapid red on the road, I’ve come around that the bright colors work best. I finally saw a cyber orange one and I have to say it looked good.
I wasn’t picky about color in my...
Mavericks I’ve seen in north DFW over the past few months by color
4 carbonized gray (1 first edition)
4 velocity blue
3 black
1 cactus gray
1 alto blue
1 hot pepper red
I rode it about 15 minutes and already regretted not getting one years ago.
I need to add an hour meter and deck washout, but I can live with that. Tractor supply gave me 10% off just because it sat outside the store a while and got a little scuffed up.
