What many of us have voiced displeasure in ( The Allocation System ) has finally been reported on the Bronco. From that article -

"Ford convinced its most loyal customers to order vehicles months in advance, but the line of reservations has been far from first-come, first-served. Large dealerships are taking priority over smaller stores in the digital queue, primarily disadvantaging rural customers. And Ford has acknowledged hundreds of dealers are charging over the sticker price, which those stores call a “market adjustment.”

Here's a link to the article from Bloomberg without needing a subscription. -

Are there folks who ordered a Bronco 14, 15 months ago who are still waiting ? Must be fairly easy to get the Bronco Sport. I see at least one every day.
Yes there are.

"Last year, Granger was able to fill only 150 of its 1,300 (Bronco) orders, almost all of them to customers who flew in, picked up their SUV and drove back out of state. In October, Ford tweaked the formula further, this time adding to the equation sales of Bronco Sport, a smaller sibling model that launched in late 2020. Granger slashed prices on Bronco Sports, but with only a few weeks left in 2021, it did little good. At the start of this year, Westrum’s Bronco deliveries slowed to a crawl."

Did anyone like me totally misread this and get excited that someone had ported over the bronco's folding mirrors to the maverick??

Sounds like they took far fewer Maverick orders than the Bronco, but the allocation system is going to set the pace and their effort to increase the allocation seems to have fallen flat.

Ford Chief Executive Officer Jim Farley told Bloomberg. “All we can do at this point is scale as fast as we can and break the constraints AND COMMUNICATE TO (BUYERS) what's realistic.”
So Jim, at what point is this communication between Ford and it's buyer's going to take place? 🤔

I figured my Jan Mav eb Granger order would become a MY 23. In fact I hope it does because my wife’s lease is up May of 23 so I hope to change any new options when they’re announced.

My local June hybrid order was supposed to replace my lease that ended in October but I had to extend it to April. Now my scheduled build in April means I’ll be without a car for 1 to 2 months. Just a pain in the *#% trying to plan with these allocations. We’ll see if my plan of ordering eb 15 months before I need it is good enough.

When I knew I was going to order my Hybrid Maverick last August I saw the $4000 under invoice price that Granger was offering at the time.

I looked at the sheer number of orders they had outstanding and thought about how long it would be before those orders got filled.

So even though I would have saved about $2000 overall it was not worth the risk in not getting my Maverick for a very very long time.

So I ordered from a local dealership AutoNation Ford in Frisco TX on 8/23, got build date on 9/16, Built on 11/29, Shipped on 11/30 and took possession on 12/13 two months ago.

If you look at the $7,500+ mark-ups on Hybrid Mavericks off the lot then giving up the potential $2000 savings was well worth it to actually have a Hybrid Maverick at invoice price last December.

You'll get proper communication once a VIN is assigned.

What happened to reservation orders that carried over to the next MY? Did you have them approach you? Ask you for colour/ option changes?

"It’s really frustrating; it’s frustrating for everyone,” Ford Chief Executive Officer Jim Farley told Bloomberg. “All we can do at this point is scale as fast as we can and break the constraints and communicate to (buyers) what’s realistic.”

I don't see much, if any, communication.

"What irritates buyers isn’t so much the length of the wait as its inequity. These consumers were under the impression Ford would distribute its seminal Broncos entirely based on the order in which it received reservations."

I think the same holds true with us. I don't mind the wait. What I do mind is lack of communication from Ford, and June/ July orders being passed on for identical builds from months later.
