I noticed some very very brief staticy interruptions (could still hear the music but it semi-dropped out) and if I recall correctly it was when going over some bumps at higher speeds.

I have this same issue. Some days worse than others. Sometimes it completely drops the sound. But only for 1/2 second to full second. Annoying. But less annoying than plugging in by a country mile.

Yeah, Wired is always king when it comes to reliability but man it was so liberating not having to plug in. This phone has introduced me to wireless charging and gotta admit I'm a fan.

Last phone had it's port very loose and would easily disconnect if I handled it to search something up while parked and it was very annoying. Glad to be rid of that problem.

Can you recommend the wireless charging mat? Model and where you got it? This just what I'm looking for to add to my XLT, along with the Motorola wireless Android device.

I just got this one and it fits nice and snug in the little rectangle area. Leaves the entire front part of the console open, and is a super convenient place to toss/grab my phone.

I have my wireless charging mat plugged into the rear console and ran the wire along the center console on the driver side. You cant even see it and it keeps my front ports open. I just drop my phone on the mat, it connects almost instantly and it keeps it charged and shuts off when it's fully Charged & doesn't overheat my phone

I was messing around with my USB port and put a little pressure on it and pop, out it came! This was awesome because I could see who it plugs in. If you unplug the wire to the USB port you have a MINI USB Male connection. If you buy this dongle from amazon (https://amz.run/5IYn) for $7 (free prime shipping) you have all you need to make it all disappear.

Only down side is the USB A port is now dead and unusable. That said the USB-C is fully functional.

I just got mine today, was talking to a friend and said at work tomorrow I want to pull out the console and figure out a way to hide this thing and make it seem more factory direct... I also want to figure out how to still use both USB ports while using the wireless adapter.

I wish they had a USB port in the console that connected to the Maverick.

Side not not looking to hijack... The Ford Flex my wife drives has usb ports everywhere, her Flex does not have a screen but Ford could have incorporated more hidden USB ports instead of the over hyped water bottle storage.... They could have said 19k hybrid stock and 8 interior hidden usb power ports.... Don't hate on me, for my use I feel the door panels are over-hyped and majority of the time they are useless, my kids water bottles fit in the rear but the bottles my wife and i use do not fit in the door panels and it is like every other car on a road trip frustrating.... but thats another rant and post . I can shove/snap a Gatorade sideways in the driver door panel, it snaps in, pretty handy... again not for this post.....

My two Explorers, Fusion and Expedition all had a USB port in the console too. Or only in the console in the case of my Fusion. I was expecting one in my Maverick. Kinda bummed to see one wasn't there.

Thanks for showing this. It looks like on the xlt that whole panel comes off like a tray, I wonder if the push to start on a lariat will change taking that panel off. Did it pop off fairly easily?

Also, alternatively, could you have disconnected the lead to the usb c and used it and left the usb a connected?

also a person could use that splitter and put another usb port where the cigerette lighter is.

Finally got mine. The set up was strange and I couldnt get it to work on the first attempt. I am using a ghetto chinese phone, that has bad wifi and bluetooth, so that may explain my problems getting it to work initially.

I guess I'm the opposite. Doesn't bother me at all taking 3 second to plug my phone in, but music cutting out often for 1/2 to 1 second is absolutely unacceptable.
I experienced the same thing with wireless AA.
