Many people have said that 3P car sites(Cavana, Vroom, etc) may buy a Maverick back for more than what was paid for it. I tried one example to see what it could look like:

The vehicle had a 26,770.00 sticker and was ran at 500 mileage.
it took about a day and the Vroom offered 24,000.00 via Email. The options are listed below.

That's 11.5% for driving it off the lot in this environment. Still not terrible, but certainly not above as some allude to(at least not with Vroom).

Has anyone used any of the other sites? Does anyone want to run some test cases and report back?

I've tried Vroom and Carvana and both offered a couple hundred bucks over MSRP. Nothing spectacular like other people have been offered.

I don't really care. Much like the question "How much will they offer for your home" as I am not interested in selling either so why bother in finding out.

We keep our vehicles "cradle to grave" as in buy new and only sell/trade when they are at end-of-life. Doing this keeps the total-cost-of-ownership low.

1987 Mazda 626 - Had it for 11 years

1998 Ford Ranger XLT SuperCab - Had it for 16 years + four months

2015 Honda Fit Ex - Had it for 7 years + 1 month - Sold it to Carvana for $16,523 for use against my Maverick purchase

The wife's 2009 Honda CR-V Ex is still going strong at 13 years + 2 months
