Good news, bad news. The salesman told me it was damaged and then sold it to someone else!

AutoNation lists 127 right now. From a quick scan, it looks like every single one says "In transit to store."

There are lots of posts on here discussing what that means about whether these trucks are actually for sale versus customer ordered vehicles that haven't been delivered yet.

I suggest you try to buy one and come back and tell us how it went.

Their website is inaccurate. I ordered at one locally, and check everyday to see if there is anything I should call about. It is also a few blocks from my gym, so I would stop by every day after working out, saw several that never listed on the web anywhere.

They have called me once so far for one that didn't show on Ford, Autonation.com or any of the car sites ( I checked before I went to go look).

Apparently in my 30 minutes from the call, checking the web, and getting to the dealer it hit the site and was reserved immediately. I saw it parked later that week at a shopping center. Not sure how their inventory works at all.

From what I can see from the CarFax and other reports I looked at, it looks like it indeed was sold. This does happen, and they managed to cover their asses and get you a replacement when they realized they @!#$@! up. Honestly, probably no malicious intent on that, but at the same time, dishonest and poor business practice and sad that they wouldn't own up to it.
I likely would be more forgiving if they admitted it, but since you now know the truth that they sold it to someone else, whatever the circumstances, I'd rake em over the coals over it and see what they might offer in compensation.....

They told me 22 were coming in next week but all were spoken for. Their website has 20-22 listed 'for sale' but those I'm guessing are the cust orders. Their ordering is also shutdown till fall they said.

I'm in the same boat w EB ordered Oct, called Ford 2 wks ago, got a VIN# and nothing else. Sales guy claimed in email last week we have a March build date April delivery but I know that isn't possible, I haven't gotten an email so I know from info here I'm looking at May delivery earliest now

What I am doing is keeping our order, which now won't be delivered before end of April, and still pursuing a truck avail even if it isn't exactly what we ordered. My DH needs the moonroof b/c he is 6'7" and needs the bit of extra head space, also needs CoPilot360 he is a shitty driver haha. I think it is reasonable to be able to sell the 1st bought truck, maybe even for more than we buy, when the ordered truck arrives. If I come across a Hybrid I will let you know. I may even look outside FL and fly him out and he drives back lol.

Moon roofs are typically mounted in the inside of the roof and take up MORE room than none sunroof cars. I’m 6’7 as well haha.

So good to see that you provided all the details of this adventure with the help and support from the MTC members. Happy to hear you are very satisfied with your choice and that were able to get a Maverick. I love mine and hope the original dealer loses a few sales after this!

I hope the word gets out about the type of people that run the Dealership and the type of salesman they have! It’s a shame to have a few bad apples when there are some really good salesman out there, like Patrick Robinson at Bozard Ford.

Looks great! That is the exact model and color I ordered and is SUPPOSED to be delivered to my dealer on or about 2/26/22. Fingers, toes, and eyes crossed! Enjoy!

I really hope you get yours at the end of the month because you will love it! This is my first dark vehicle and I hope I can get used to it or wash it frequently

I feel like I just read a best seller book. There were ups and downs and a who done it all wrapped together with a great ending. We all know who the real bad guys are now. I hope they get flamed for their behavior.

Monday is the day the Truck was delivered, supposedly damaged beyond repair and Tuesday was the day he sold my truck to someone else! Had I not joined this MTC forum I would never have found or bought a Lariat hybrid And would be waiting for the build date on the eco-boost I ordered! I was very lucky all the way around and have now made new friends!
