I got a similar call this morning from my dealer. I ordered my hyrbid lariat on 10/11, got a confirmation email on 10/13. Dealer told me this morning that Ford is not scheduling anymore hybrid's, and I have to either switch to eco or be first in line for ordering 2023 hybrid. I asked for ROVP confirmation and he kept giving me the run around. Seems like this has become a popular tactic for dealers. Are they just not putting the orders in correctly or is there something else going on? Seems sketchy.
Called Ford customer service @ 800-334-4375, and told them what the dealer said. Her reply was, "ummmm... that's absolutely not true." She looked up my order using the sales code and order code from my preview order, and said that I was in the que to still get scheduled. She did say that the ROVP was not done correctly, like it was unfinished, but from everything that she can see that it is still good to go. I let my dealer know this info, and he said "well our new rep said they aren't scheduling anymore hybrids to be built, but I hope he's wrong and I'm leaving your order as is anyway."
Something is fishy, sounds like the dealers are either badly misinformed or just straight up lying and playing games.

New member, long time looking at site. Salesman called today to say order has to be moved to MY23 due to Ford cutting off orders. I am quite upset. Placed order October 21 and received email from Ford next day. I asked salesman for rovp and he did not know. Said they do covp. I asked for copy and am waiting. He also asked for copy of license which I gave at time of order. I called Ford marketing and my order is in their system awaiting scheduling.
My question is the dealer pulling a fast one or did not put in covp or rovp. I am confused as to what each document is. Any insight would help.
ask your dealer for a look or screen shot of you view statusyou will see order# body code veh line-maverick and primary=in processing and then you will see "secondary"(unschedled-clean)this means you are good to go but if it says (unschedled-balance out) you are not going to be schedled period.you need to tell them you want to veiw your veiw-status on screen or printed out.

I texted my salesman a request for a copy of the Customer Order Verification Program (COVP) email. He texted a copy right back to me immediately that confirms my order was verified by Ford Program Headquarters. It shouldn't be that difficult for the dealers to provide this verification if asked by the customer, IMO.

you need to ask your dealer for info in veiw-status for info on listing in veiw status that says secondary (unschedled-clean0 you are good to go but if it says (unschedled-balance out) you have been put out of schedleding period and it is not going to be scheduled to be built, this just happen to me and the ford rep did not or could not talk about it go to your dealer now and tell the sales manager to show you the veiw-status

Will do. Playing waiting game for dealership call back or email.
I’m concerned that yours is a hybrid, right? That cutoff to be confirmed in ROVP was in November.

How are we supposed to know if it was entered into ROVP? I got the order confirmation email from Ford, is there something else we are supposed to get?
Only dealership can provide you with the proof. Request a screenshot of the approval from them.

If you don’t have a build date, you will be bumped out to 23 MY. I work for a dealer group that has several Ford dealers within it, and I've seen it first hand.

I know I'm not a reputable source of info, I've only got one post, but I typically hang around Toyota forums and I've been proven as a reputable source over there, feel free to check yourself.

This is not accurate given that Ford schedules orders almost every Thursday. I'm not saying that bumping to a '23 won't ever happen (it did for Broncos) but Ford is attempting to avoid that by closing the order banks. But it is not accurate to say if folks don't have a build date already that they'll be bumped to '23.

Quote myself here. This is what I found when I Google "Ford COVP".

ELIGIBLE VEHICLE LINES
All vehicle lines (excluding Mach-E, Bronco and specialty units) are eligible for verification and incremental allocation through the COVP process.
• Mustang (Non GT500 or Mach 1)
• EcoSport
• Escape
• Edge
• Bronco Sport
• Explorer
• Expedition
• Transit
• Transit Connect
• Ranger
• F150
• Super Duty

So it would seem I am correct. COVP is for most other models. ROVP is Maverick, normal Bronco, Mach-E, and......other specialty things specific.
Hmmmmm..... I called ford and spoke with customer service rep. I asked about the COVP VS ROVP and she's says it the same thing. She checked my order, everything was good, then she says she will go ahead and "authorized it" for the next step.......whatever that means!

First off call Ford Marketing they can tell you if you have a confirmed order, just go to ford.com scroll down to the bottom and get their number. 2nd theses dealers are freaking morons. My dealer was very good, no ADM’s either. Some of theses dealers are NOT going to survive the coming reset that Ford and other car/truck manufacturers are moving towards. Good luck with your issues, hopefully it’s just an uninformed dealership And you won’t have to wait for a 2023 build!!!!!

This makes no sense since they have PLENTY of time left to schedule orders. All this Spring and Summer. Since they aren't accepting any orders after today, everything they schedule from now on is prior orders (like ours).
There is still time to update ROVP. If the order is in the system i think they have a day or so to complete ROVP.

How are we supposed to know if it was entered into ROVP? I got the order confirmation email from Ford, is there something else we are supposed to get?
I called the Ford.com number yesterday to see if my dealer put me in the ROVP. The Ford rep confirmed I was in the ROVP, and the next email from Ford would be a schedule for build. The rep was very friendly and helpful! I actually email my dealership rep a couple if days ago with this same question, and he still hasn't gotten back to me! Salespersons and dealerships are really hurting Ford's reputation in this instance!
