Ordered 10/13/21- received confirmation email from Ford
Nothing but crickets for months. I checked with the dealership a couple times. They even changed my priority code.
Then Monday the dealer emailed me stating my order wont be moved into production until I sign a build sheet and give them a copy of my license (gave them the license in October). I honestly don't remember if I signed anything back then.

I was frustrated and thought my order has been in limbo all this time. It's been months and now they figure this out? Dealership gave me a few bad vibes along the way, but they were the only local place that "claims" to honor X plan pricing, so I used them anyway.

I didn't respond to her email. Then yesterday she emailed again saying I must not be interested in the vehicle, therefore my order has been dropped. She never called, never texted. Until these two emails, we've always conversed via phone or text.

I just accepted I used a bad dealer, and I am out of a Maverick.
But then......I got an email today from Ford with a build date (3/21/22)!

So now what? is this still mine to buy whenever it arrives?
Can I have it sent to another dealership?

I'm frustrated and confused. lol
Any suggestions on what to do? I really don't want to deal with this dealership anymore. I have a feeling they aren't done playing games with me. But I got hope again for MY Maverick.

If you ordered a hybrid and they didn't get your drivers license from you when you ordered and completed the ROVP process before the November 15th cut-off , then your vehicle will not be built.

However, if it's an Ecoboost than they only have until February 2nd to complete the process, since after that date Ford is no longer accepting Maverick orders until the summer for the 2023MY.

You can't have the order shipped to another dealership after the order has been placed and the order is still in your name even though they told you it has been "dropped". Give them a call AND send them an email and tell them that you still want it. They are hoping to get it and sell it to someone else with a large mark up,

You need to call them and see or they will sell it underneath you and you wont have an order left at at all...

If your name is on the build and they sell it to someone else, they will be dinged by FoMoCo and that will affect their allocations we hear so much about.

Since your email was in the order and you received a build date email, I would stay in touch and buy that baby at the price you agreed on when you signed that DORA document.

Good luck.

They told me the actual X-Plan pricing couldn't be verified then. I believe they said they had to wait until its built or a VIN is created. :(

I sent them my drivers license....again. And a signed copy of the build sheet showing MSRP pricing. I just screwed myself didn't I?

I don’t think so. Each dealer can make their on rules regarding acceptance of pricing plans. My dealer does not accept the X-Plan. I bought my MAV MSRP and as long they don’t allow anyone else to use the X -plan, it’s all good. At least they didn’t try to jackup the truck with a ‘Adm Market Adjustment.’

Isn't the fact that he got a build date assigned proof that the ROVP process was completed?

There are some conflicting things in his message. If he did get a build date email then yes the ROVP was completed. He also stated that the dealer was asking for a copy of his drivers license and the signed bill sheet. Can't do the ROVP without them and if they didn't already have it, I don't see how they could have - unless they used someone else's info on the ROVP and left his email address. Too many irregular things seem to be going on with this one.

I definitely did get a build date email. I cannot speak for what the dealership did. I can only go by what they told me.

I emailed the dealership today and gave them a signed copy and license. I asked about x plan pricing and she just ignored the question.

Looks like I have a vehicle being built for me, but no clue what the dealership is going to try and charge me.
