I just checked website it $21.95 for 72 hour access which includes
Service Publications** - All Vehicles/All Model Years

**Workshop Manuals, Wiring Diagrams, PowerTrain Control and Emission Diagnostic Manuals

You also have this supposed release date was Dec. 31st of 2021. Bit pricy but it covers all the makes and models.

I got the manual from Factory Manuals. It has wiring diagrams. I haven't looked up anything to do with the steering wiring but if you need a page let me know.

That's great to know! Does it have Forscan values for the BCM? 😉

So, steering wheel I got from one of the salvage yards got here today and it looks like it's got the acc cluster. Without the extra sensors, it does me no good installing it on my XL once it eventually arrives.

It will work, just need the right numbers to change, the sccm and bcm lines will probably differ. But itll work!

Well hopefully by the time I get my truck someone will be able to figure out the right sequence of numbers. I think I read somewhere but can't find it now that someone enable acc on another vehicle without the radar. Just used the front facing camera already equipped. It wasn't as smooth due to the accuracy of radar vs camera. I dunno. That's above my pay grade. Haha

MaverickHybrid on page 20 has a picture of his cruise working with the ACC buttons. You need to find an escape with the exact same buttons and use the numbers in the modules I listed. I believe they're something along the lines of 9390/0390 1280 3041 or something like that depending on which switch pack

Gotcha. From what I can tell, I think I have the exact setup of switches he has. I have to double check in the morning, too lazy to walk out to the garage. Lol

You should be able to get the VIN of the donar car from the junk yard. Pull the As Built data from Ford and you should have exactly what you need.

I see that Forscan 2.3.45 was released a couple of days ago, has anyone tried it yet? https://forscan.org/changes_history.html

I will probably try it in the morning. I have my switches installed in the wheel, and just have to install the wheel and program (hopefully).

So a few pointers so far ... not that I am done yet. 🙃

Removing the wheel: I did not find any YouTube video that worked for the Maverick, so this is what worked.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal (under rear seat for the hybrid, under the hood for the EB).
  • Remove the lower clamshell for the steering column (where the ignition switch is). You need a 7mm socket for this, remove the two bolts and pull it apart.
  • Turn the wheel 90* left or right. Look underneath and on the forward side of the wheel you will see a slot. Insert the screwdriver in that slot, and pry "up" on the release, to release that side of the airbag.
  • Turn the wheel 90* the other way and do it again. The airbag should come off.
  • Remove the wires from the airbag. For the yellow and orange connectors, gently lift the orange section with a pick or tiny screwdriver to release, and after it is lifted, the connector can be removed. Set the airbag aside.
  • Disconnect the black clockspring connector exiting the wheel through the top opening by inserting a small screwdriver into the top side and releasing.
  • Remove the 15/16 inch bolt holding the wheel on. It is not as tight as I thought it would be.
  • Remove wheel, mine came off easily.
  • Put a piece of tape across the the clockspring to keep it from rotating out of position while you are doing other stuff. (Make sure you remove ths later!)
For removing and installing the swiches, see the thread that @Tyvemattis wrote. https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/f...her-switches-such-as-cruise-control-diy.7358/ It is pretty straightforward.

Make sure that the wires are carefully tucked into place in the wheel, there are retainers for them.

That is all I've got so far, just adding to the knowledge base. I will add more tomorrow when I complete the job, hopefully with a few photos.

Did you put a torque wrench on the steering wheel nut or not? I plan on doing mine this weekend if I get the Forscan cable in before then, when I do I'll find out about what the factory torque is on the nut in Ft Lbs before dissassembly and post back.
