Did you use the same settings in ForeScan as the EB? Also, what did you torque the wheel nut to? I'd hate to have it loosen and have the steering wheel come off.

I wonder if you could rebind the paddle shifters to activate aftermarket lights or something.

Looks like you'll need the following switches for adaptive cruise control besides the radar sensor.
https://parts.ford.com/shop/en/us/electrical/switches/cruise-control-switch-13094681-1

LH Switch
part# SW8585

RH Switch
Part# SW8576

The left hand switch is currently out of stock there but according to the fitment options it is the same switch used on 2020 - 2023 Explorers and Escapes so the junkyard or ebay are viable alternatives. I didn't find the sensor yet on the site but am willing to bet it is the same one used the Explorers and Escapes that use switch SW8585.
To add to this checking the owners manual starting at page 190 is the fuse box locations. if you are trying replicate the factory wiring you'll need to wire the ACC through the fuse box in the hood fuse box specifically fuse #21 which is rated for 5 amps.

Might also want to spend a few bucks for access to the shop manual and wiring diagrams to take the guess work out.

I like that idea! Maybe control some aftermarket fog lights? Clever.

In sport mode, the Hybrid does "shift". The idea would be to control that "shifting" via the paddles.

This wheel comes with all the ACC switches on it, along with paddles and heater.

Absolutely viable if you find a similarly equiped wheel, that is only if you want keep the stock steering wheel and swap out the switches.

I have finally got Cruise working on my XL. I'm not positive that you absolutely have to have both of the IPC inputs, however, I have working cruise, so I haven't dug into it too far. If anyone wants to challenge it, feel free to post the results!

Excellent. I didn’t know it wasn’t equipped with CC. What’s next? Air conditioning as an option? Geez. How much did it run you?

(y)Me too.

I've been following @Tyvemattis' progress since the first post in this thread.
Heck, I don't even have my XL Maverick yet and now (see below) have the switches:

You can get it for about $100 added on doing the work yourself of course, well worth it for those of us who don't want anything more than an XL but want CC.
