When doing a very close inspection when I took some pictures I noticed that the trim feels like there is something pushing up from underneath on the plastic bed trim. (Hard to tell in the pic below) but it's the same on both sides. Considering bringing back to the dealer to have them take a look. Anyone else notice this or have a remedy?

Yes, I would certainly bring that in for the to look at. I don't see that on mine at all. Was it always like that or did this appear after you installed the bed cover?

Came with the tonneau cover installed but doesn't seem to be because of this. I didn't notice when I took delivery. It was dark and wasn't looking too closely.

Gotcha, yes I would take it in and let them check it out. I was so curious I just went outside and ran my hand over mine and it's flat and smooth.

Thanks. It's the same on both sides like there is a bolt protruding underneath the trim. Love your Maverick btw!

Thanks! Yeah I agree with you that is exactly what it looks like. I am sure they will get you fixed up. These trucks are great man. I purchased that Nissan Frontier, but. find myself just enjoying that Maverick overall. The handling and drivability is just off the chart as far as I am concerned. Glad I ended up changing my mind and buying it. I initially ordered the Oxford White, I just like white vehicles period. You can just do so many different things with them and look so good. Yours is looking good too.

I just agreed to sell my 83 Monte Carlo SS in part because it's not sensible to have 2 white vehicles.. Sent you a message with pic. Somehow despite being nearly 40 years removed and from two different manufacturers, they bear a family resemblance.

I just ordered the exact same part (part number NZ6Z6029038A), you can get it for around 50-60 bucks. I am replacing mine because I scratched it and made it even worse trying to get rid of the scratches with a heat gun. Your truck is the first one I see with this issue, should be covered under warranty though. You can also watch my entire thread around my issue. https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/f...-trims-around-the-bed.6677/page-3#post-173783

I am fighting with Ford now as I already brought to the dealer and they are trying to say I must have caused this. I guess the dealer has to do what Ford says. I hope they can make it right, it's the same on both sides. I didn't notice it when I first took delivery but didn't look very closely and it was at night.

With all the little issues that keep popping up I’m going to end up spending 8 hours inspecting my truck at the dealer. I don’t want them to be able to say I did it.

Looks like one of the fasteners didn't go into the hole cleanly and got "wonky " dealer will probably have to replace the plastic trim piece.

That's a very good idea. Hit me up if you want me to point out some things to look at as I went over everything since getting mine.

How long till Ford gets back to dealers on this, been a week or so now, and dead silence. I'd like this fixed or at least a decision..
