Hello all, does anyone happen to know what type of oil drain plug gasket ford uses on the Hybrid Maverick? I'm assuming it's probably the same size as the Ecoboost but just making sure. Also, what kind is it? Rubber, copper, crush copper, single use aluminum velvet, etc?

Planning on stocking up on a couple oil filters and just wanted to have the washers on hand also.

The gasket or "seal" for the engine drain plug only comes with the plug, part #: EJ7Z 6730-B

Any idea on which one? Looking into this as well.
If someone knows the bolt size or if it's comparable to another model you could get the part number from Fumoto's website.

Yeah, hoping someone will have it before I get around to pulling it. Fumoto will probably have their website before I get to changing my oil.

Thanks! Ordered one today at my dealer. $8.50!!!! At least I used my FordPass rewards to buy it and hopefully I can get 2 oil changes out of 1 until the gasket starts to flatten out.

You need to switch to the Fumoto drain plug, Makes oil changes a breeze and no mess

True…….
If there was only a workaround to taking out all those bolts securing that shield. The filter is so easy to get to; and it’s vertical, so less spillage. Except for that darn shield. On a lift, less trouble. But sliding under on my back is a pain!

You can attach a drain hose also sold by fumoto

Thats probably what I will do. Might cut a small hole/flap in the cover large enough to get my hand up there to connect the hose and open the fumoto valve. Then I can just let it drain right into an old oil container.

And the filter?
Too much cutting of that shield could weaken it considerably. Not overall, but locally, should a rock, etc hit it “on a bad spot “.
I’m all for a solution to this one!

If torqued properly, they "should" last more than 2 oil changes

Drain Plug Torque:

2.0L 20 lb.ft (27 Nm)
2.5L 21 lb.ft (28 Nm)
