That top pic really shows how nice that color is. Most photos just make it look black.

Ha! That is a thought. Might rivet a strip of aluminum to it. Looking into an OEM replacement now. I need to take it off to get the part number. Just looking around it looks like it might be about 80 bucks but I'm not sure i have the right part number.

No, it is just scrapped up due to being used. I’ll try to post one later. There are a few plastic rivets and probably some clips underneath.

Hi! Has anyone removed the plastic cap on the tailgate? Mine is already pretty beat up and I thought about removing it and spraying it with bed liner. Wanted to see if anyone else did anything to toughen this up.

I'm looking at a few options. Still a little muddy on which one is best. J&L seems to take care of the dirty side which seems to make more sense. Installation looks a lot more involved. Hoping someone on here does it so I can learn from their install.

I wonder if anyone has put the spray in liner material on the tailgate or bed side caps? My tailcap scratched up pretty bad just rubbing some plants against it. I might try some spray can bed liner on it to so if that helps.
