If you set your mirrors correctly you don't have a blind spot. Unless of course a gerbil is coming up on you and 75mph. Personally, and yes I'm an old guy, people should just learn to friggin drive. You young folks don't even have to parallel park anymore?
Snow was on that hill both ways, wasn't it? You guys bashing this tech don't even know how it functions.

We have plenty of data showing the many benefits of innovation in automotive safety over time. Just because you survived a time of metal dashboards and no seatbelts does not mean that those things are fine.. it simply means nothing happened to you.

Where is my quote where I bashed tech? I simply stated that with mirrors set correctly there is no blind spot & people should learn to actually drive. Or course advancements in safety are excellent. Doesn't mean some jughead with his/her head up their ass looking at their phone to see who is bashing who on Facebook won't crash with all the safety of a friggin F1 car.
I do know how the tech functions. I also know when in a snow storm the sensors get covered and don't work, (been there done that).
Maybe nothing happened to me because I paid attention and am a good driver? Na couldn't be...

Well as someone that has ford 360 and toyota's safety sense I could not have it and be just as happy. A few times the maverick has said the camera was blocked only to correct itself a few minutes later. A car can turn in front of you, already be past your lane by the time the red dash light blinks. My 4runner hit the brakes at 60 mph when there was a person on a bike on the side of the road, so if you ask me you could keep it off the option list. I would rather have larger mirrors with blind spot mirrors. Honestly even if I have this 360 I would still prefer they include blind spot mirrors.

Heavy rain makes it go out as well.

Pretty sure the folks that drove a horse & buggy said the same thing about the first motorcar. 🐎
The first motorcar was likely inferior to a quality horse and buggy. But in all fairness, to each his own. What features are worth the price are user dependent in my humble view.
I've driven with all of the above and none. My preferences are my own and I hope everyone gets to theirs sooner than latter.

Thinking of dropping Cp360 in my xlt hybrid order, Is it helpful even? Heard some negatives on it I’m just wondering how effective it is in lane centering and blind spot monitoring.

Looking for owners experiences.
I know the mirrors light up but does it alert you any other way?
I have that on my Explorer and it really helps. I like the blind spot light, and the warning you get when backing up from some parking lot. Works great.

Assume much? Piss off. I own an F-350 dually and I'll out parallel park you with that ruck any day of the week. And yes I have my mirrors set so there is virtually no blind spots (motorcycles can be more of a challenge depending upon where in the lane they decide to ride), I'm all for making anything a little safer for 2% of the cost of the truck.... Such a small amount to add 1 more layer of safety.

A lot of strange posts in this thread. BSM does the same thing as a mirror? Driver assistance features kill more people than they save? Where do people come up with these things?
There's a strange way of thinking involved here.

Using the blind spot monitor (BSM) as an example, it goes like this:
  1. I didn't used to have a BSM. (absolutely true)
  2. I won't benefit from a BSM. (might be true, might not)
  3. Nobody benefits from a BSM. (certainly not true)
  4. A BSM is dangerous and will kill people. (downright weird)

You really are quite the twit aren't you? You say I assumed. What did I assume? I stated facts. Parallel parking is not included in driver's tests in 16 states and you can adjust side mirrors so there is no blind spot. I'll tell you what you have assumed twit... You can parallel park better than I, assumption 1... And assumption 2, that I'm a baby boomer.
Besides I'm not 'dishing' out anything. Funny how you take facts as assumptions.
What a twit

I love the 360 with BLISS. I have driven more than one vehicle with low visibility and I am sorry to say it but the MAV rear vis is lacking. This truck also has the best BLISS I have ever used hands down.

Just my 2 cents here, having actually used the system in question, and having not had it in any previous vehicle that I dailied I can say it works very well. The front radar tends to get covered in snow easily, but that just disables the adaptive cruise. The rear radar sensors have not gotten confused at all and are useful when backing out of parking spots to tell you when someone is crossing behind you, this is super common and not something any amount of mirrors can compensate for.

As for telling you whats next to you on a divided highway, it's nice for reassurance but not going to replace looking at things. Rain has had no effect on the system and in light snow it works fine until the front radar is covered (rear sensors continued to work but the lane centering and adaptive cruise cut off). The Fordpass app will happily remind you how many times the system stopped working no matter if you care or not.

The more options you have the more constraints you might encounter getting in the way of your scheduled for production build date. I'm just saying
True, but this really hasn’t been an issue with this product so far..
