Anyone else getting a moonroof after price increase?

I was considering it but with a $200 increase making it close to $1000 option that I won’t have much use for. I think I’ll pass. Anyone else feel the same?

I repriced my entire build all over again and it is now $645 more expensive. Including the moonroof.

So I have to ask myself, would I consider changes due to the price increases if I ordered now?

I don't think I would have changed anything in my build for just $645. I have the Lariat Lux AWD FX4, 360, 4KT, CO Paint Upgrade, Moonroof.

I have enjoyed my moonroof more than I thought. It's one of the best designs I've ever used. Even here in the winter it's nice to open up. The amount of air it lets in is nice. Doesn't blow your hair all around, front or back. I can even fully open at 35°F with the heat on and it lets in some fresh air without overwhelming the cabin with wind or cold air. Popping up to vent the top is nice for those times when you have to run full max heat on the windshield due to icing wipers but don't want to nuke your cabin. Venting the roof helps keep the Cabin comfy. Love it!!!

I prefer and will use the sunglasses holder more often than I would a moon roof. That said, if you got to money, more power to ya.

You do miss that, of course. But I put my glasses in that tray right behind the screen. It's perfect for glasses. And usually my glasses are too big to fit in the overhead drop bins anyway.

Maybe....I don't know about leaving glasses on the dash, though... Although, maybe it's better than the overhead as far as heat goes?

110+ dash in Texas summer. Might be good for reshaping glasses.

In XL trim - the moonroof is going to add a little upscale feel for me, in addition to just enjoying the sunroof in general - I am a fan of as much airflow as possible through the cabin so the roof and the sliding rear window was a must.

Luckily I am not affected by the price increase.

Try to sit in a Maverick with and without the moonroof, you may not like the loss of headroom if you are tall.

Ordered without moonroof. When the option to take a different Maverick instead of waiting I ended up with that extra option as well as bed lighting. Cost was similar as I lost the Cyber Orange paint. I have used the moonroof and miss the orange. The velocity blue is pretty good though.

Good point. It would likely require going to 2 different dealerships as I've never seen 2 at the same place. Worth the trouble if you are tall and have to order anyway. It's usually the whole headliner that loses headroom, not just the area around the sunroof.

I am 6'-1" with a moonroof. I have 2-3" of head room left above my head. And I have the seat height raised some to make sure my manspread doesn't activate the center console buttons.

I was already at my limit with my build so somethings would have to go.. Likely the 360 and keep the moon roof.
