Why would you need a step when the top of the bed is so low? Also there is already a step right beside that ugly one in the body at the exact same height, it’s called the top of the tire. If this is what Chevy has they are in bigger trouble than I thought.

Hey kids I know this is off subject here but does anyone know how long the battery will last in a Hybrid
I think the life expectancy has a lot to do with the environment in lives in......they do come with an 8 year 100k warranty so that's good.

It will last considerably longer than 80k to 100k. Good god, man. Do some research!
..
What fun would that be? Random speculation is way more entertaining:p

The info I had when I bought the C-max was that the battery is expected to last the life of the vehicle...whatever that may be. As the battery ages, it may not hold a charge as long, or may not reach 100% charge, but at least there's a gas engine to fall back on (unlike total electrics).

The VW is kinda cool. Don't like it lowered, but this is cool. The only thing cooler would be a 4 door option of this like the Maverick. And to whomever said "it wasn't that bad..."

You can get it extended.

Ya know, I never liked the plastic pieces behind the C-pillar on the Avalanche. Serve no function that I know of, except maybe a bungee cord anchor.

I do wish the maverick had a 2 or 3 door with an extra foot of bed space. And a kids only type rear seat.
According to the CEO, there might be all types pf configurations of the Maverick!

Reminds me of a Chevrolet Spark.
Or that HHR-like vehicle (SSR?) that was like an HHR El Camino. It was sold for a couple of years 15-20 years ago. Help me out, someone?

yep, think Renegade or Patriot platform for Stellantis and Yaris or Corolla for Toyota.
A Renegade with a slightly longer wheelbase and a bed would be pretty sick. They already have a Plug-In version of that platform that would give Ford a serious run for their money. Their AWD (so called "4x4") and 4xE tech is also VERY good. It would be a serious contender, IMO.

As for Toyota, they have that new Corolla Cross (which is the most basic and boring thing to come to market in a long, long time), so I would imagine that the Corolla platform is adaptable enough to stretch a little further into a unibody pick-up as well. I'd prefer a less boring RAV4 pick-up, though.
