I saw how the upper grille panel holes were blocked off. It may have something to do specifically with directing air flow. Maybe they are blocked off to keep the look the designers envisioned and to allow the truck to maintain it's normal running temp at freeway speeds. Too much air flow, it may run too cold.

Not it it’s not a manufacturing defect. They aren’t an insurance company. This was from some type of impact, why should Ford pay for that?
Well, he'll never know unless he ask. My ford dealership where I live has helped me with many items thru the years that wasn't really a warranty claim. THEY JUST DID IT BECAUSE THEY ARE A GREAT DEALER.

Tell the dealer it must have happened in transit and you just noticed it. They have insurance to cover it.

In other words, lie. And then make someone else pay for your problem.

Is your honesty and integrity really worth so little that you would trade it for a plastic grill?

Yikes. Call/email the dealership. They'll likely tell you to kick rocks, but I would start there.
Did you check vehicle at the dealership when you took delivery?

Nah, when the dealer submits the papper work to corporate for payment they'll have to show mileage. And corporate has a record of the delivery date. Like I said in an earlier post. Talk with the dealership first and then if they're not helpful, call corporate and see what they say. All it costs is your time.

One of the things I did when I worked work-related injury claims (workmans comp) was google using key words to see if person filing involved in any discussions on relevant forums. Next was Facebook, Twitter, etc..

I googled “broken ford maverick grill” and attached a screen shot for you. Posts to MTC at the top. Keep this in mind when making a decision about repair.

I would tell the dealer you just noticed the problem. Be honest. They may surprise you and replace the grill. I know the Ford Dealer near my home would do absolutely nothing to help. Good luck.

Called and it would be a 500 deductible and my rate would “ most likely go up “ what a scam
I doubt then that a grille would be 500 if it is I wouldn't think much more . Shame that happened I know I would be very upset.

Too bad it wasn't a bird strike. Your rate would not go up. Yes insurance is a scam.
