I think it's quite a job to get the grille out to do yourself and I don't think you would get a rate increase on ins. I think that would fall under comprehensive.
Called and it would be a 500 deductible and my rate would “ most likely go up “ what a scam

First post here !Not sure how this has happened.. or what to do now. Losing sleep knowing it is winter and all the salt and sand will be building up inside of here. Very disappointed on this quality of material. Looking for some advice … should I call my dealership? Local body shop ? Will follow up with a better picture. Thanks everyone.

Call the dealer. If that doesn't work. Cut the rest of the plastic out in that little window and then cut out the one two to the left to match. You could use a heated clothes hanger wire or a with a side cutting pencil tip.
I bet no one will notice

According to some here, yes, up to and including being "livid" if it was not fixed under warranty.

What's really funny though is I have actually read all 109 posts about a hole poked in a plastic grill on an entry-level truck.

There's a football game on and here I am catching up on the grill, what a time to be alive

Some clever suggestions on how to fix this problem should others have something similar happen to their beloved Mavericks! This is why I hang out on this forum.

As for the sniping and insults? Kind of a bummer. For some reason, the internet often brings out the worst impulses in people.
👍Remaining silent is a right. The ability to do so is a gift from God.

With all the negativity going around the MTC forums, just buy a new grille, install it, and be on your way. Life is too short to blow things out of proportion. Try living with a heart condition that has no cure and you are at high risk of sudden death syndrome. Or you have a wife with Crohn's and she has almost died twice and you lost a child because of it. Then ask yourself is a little piece of plastic worth the worry? End rant.
thank you for that

I agree, sometimes stuff just happens. Road debris is a thing and it sucks. Fix or dont and just move on. Could always be worse.

It is in the grill. It allows air, snow and everything else in. There are dozens of holes already there. That will be an insurance claim. Damage from road debris not covered under warranty.

I like that thought… only problem I see is getting the backing in there. Damn near impossible unless you take the whole front end off …
It takes less than 15 minutes to remove the entire front grill and bumper cover according to this video.

You can remove the grill in less than 15 minutes, with simple hand tools.
