First post here !Not sure how this has happened.. or what to do now. Losing sleep knowing it is winter and all the salt and sand will be building up inside of here. Very disappointed on this quality of material. Looking for some advice … should I call my dealership? Local body shop ? Will follow up with a better picture. Thanks everyone.

Duck /Duct Tape (Duct tape has now become multipurpose and is used for general sealing, patching holes, packing boxes and repairs. ) should do the job.

Just price a new grill, buy it. I have just got the new molding and fender flares from TASCA, all good. And yes, it could have been worse.

Insurance claim, deductible would not make it practical. A good faith Dealer or Ford should take care of this within 1000 miles.

"Flex Seal" should fix it! You may be able to find the broken part behind there and glue it back in.

I agree with this... over the years I have been able to get various retailers to "stand behind" their quality and replace or repair at no cost - as long as it pointed to QUALITY of build or provision of service....

Good faith dealer may get your warranty claim paid few months out of warranty,but there responsible for insurance claims.Is your insurance company going to pay for a engine defect in good faith?

A car dealer will normally never get involved in any way with you and your insurance claims.

Not it it’s not a manufacturing defect. They aren’t an insurance company. This was from some type of impact, why should Ford pay for that?

My Subaru started overheating when it was a baby. I limped back to the dealership and turns out I had a huge hole. Dealer said likely a rock. I thought the same, that I would notice something that big and explained that I think it built up pressure somehow and blew open. Subaru split the cost, 50/50.

I sure hope Ford is as good a company as Subaru.

My Ram got a very sharp ding in the metal front license plate during a trip from Austin to Dallas and back.

I never heard anything, but it had to be a rock to dent it as much as it did.

Rocks hitting a windshield or A-pillar are loud, but small impacts on the front might not be heard.
