How many folks have towed anything with their Maverick?

If Maverick owners are similar to all truck owners - the data indicates less than 25% have towed.

Although looking at the responses to the OP Poll - we Maverick Owners are intensely tow focused. 80% tow folks!

Curious as to why Maverick owners love to tow but chose a Maverick over a mid size truck?
I still have a Duramax for when I have to tow heavy. The Mav is daily driver for efficiency and keeps me from needing to grab the Duramax keys just to take ATVs out, etc.

Personally I chose a Maverick because I can't afford a full size and if I'm spending the money on a truck I wanted new, not used. As far as towing goes, never have before the Maverick but was nice to be able to when my aunt was selling her garage. I ended up with a few free cabinets for my garage, couple tool boxes, a riding lawn mower with the bagging system, some other random things and a 14ft extension ladder. I rented a utility trailer from Uhaul and was able to get everything I wanted. Of course the Uhaul thing was a disaster as always 🙄 wanted a 6x12 open trailer and because the power didn't work on it (which they should have known before offering it for rent) I ended up with an enclosed 5x8 trailer. Twice as many trips and I was couple hours late for the return but didn't get charged for the extra time. Also trailer was $5 cheaper 🤷‍♂️ nonetheless it was smooth in the Maverick towing the trailer. Very happy with how it went. No issues seeing around it. And learned how to back up a trailer too, although could use some practice still. Will I be towing a lot? Probably not, but nice to have the capability. Although now the girlfriend wants a small camper 😂 we'll see.

Yep towed a uhaul 5x9 and 6x12 trailer and it did both very well! The 5x9 was loaded up with lots of dirt and yard waste so it was quite heavy, and the 6x12 hauled a kei truck!

Where did you get that tent trailer from?
From a local Canadian manufacturer, Sunlite Trailers. Just one of a few companies in North America that make smaller tent trailers that are towable by motorcycles and side by sides.

I regularly tow a 2018 Prolite Mini, made here in Canada at Saint-Jérôme, Quebec. It is a lightweight (1090lbs plus our gear) that hits the road around 1500lb loaded. I previously towed with a 2017 RAV4 LE base model that had a towing capacity of only 1500lb. While at its limit it took us across canada and from Alaska to San Diego California many times over the years to the tune of over 135,000km. We got the Maverick with the 4k tow package to give us the added safety in towing capacity. Only 4 short trips so far this summer due to major surgery and recovery. The trips so far (total tow distance around 2,000 km) has proven that the maverick is quite capable and we hardly notice that we are towing anything. The only hit is to the gas mileage and even that is almost double that of the old RAV4 when not towing. looking forward to another short trip (6,000 km or so ) in mid August as soon as I get the clearance to drive again from my recovery. The towing capacity 4k while low for some is quite sufficient for our needs. with only 10,000 km on the maverick we are looking forward to many years of towing.

I trust my eyeballs more than this self-selecting poll. I live in the WNC mountains, and we have Mavericks out here multiplying like rabbits. My frigging neighbor has a Maverick. When I go to the grocery store, there are always a few Mavericks in the lot.

In the last 4+ years, I've seen many hundreds (thousands) of Mavericks on the roads. I've seen Mavericks with racks. I've seen fleet Mavericks with wraps. I've seen Mavericks with emergency lights used as safety vehicles for large loads.

In all that time, I've never seen a Maverick with a trailer. Hey, I know people tow with Mavericks. I just never see them.

Having said that... If I get another Maverick, I'll get the 4K package. Because it seems to help resale, and more cooling never hurts.

I wish I've seen that many Mavericks around here. Don't get me wrong seen a few in the year I've had mine but probably could count them on my hands and feet 😃 I've only seen a couple towing as well tho. One I've seen, same as mine, without the cap, always is towing a utility trailer. Actually I wonder if he ever unhooks it lol

A year ago we rented a U….l 5x8 covered trailer and towed it with our 2023 Maverick XLT Hybrid to move some items from SE Florida to Massachusetts. Weren’t in a rush and stopped to visit family overnights. 3 days.
Went smoothly. ~1700 miles one way.

I have hauled 1300 pounds of wood in the truck bed (pic previously posted). I towed my 1000 pound Can Am Spyder to the dealer (pic previously posted) for a jack shaft replacement under warranty because I didn't have a ride home (23 miles). I use the trailer for hauling 10 foot or longer wood and large scrap to the dump. I use the Mav whenever possible to avoid hooking up the trailer.

Afterthought: Hauling 1300 pounds put a strain on the Mav suspension and the truck was difficult to handle. Towing 1000+ pounds was effortless for the truck. As others have said, I forgot at times, the trailer was there.
