And the thicknesses are way different.
Fronts are vented.
Rears are not.

Front disc = 1 inch thick
Rear disc = 0.35" thick
That is true too. You can get aftermarket rotors that are vented and drilled for both front and back. I bought a full front and rear set of rotors and pads like that when I changed my rear brakes.

Will that make the pads last any longer?

Depends. Brakes transfer heat 3 ways, through conduction, convection, and radiation. Drilled rotors increase convection cooling and also allow for trapped gases to escape. Regular braking not as much but high speed braking, heavy brake use for towing will benefit. CC and ACC may also benefit. Simply put cooler rotors and pads should equal longer pad life. Ultimately it depends on the amount of heat transfer going towards convection will determine that. The ratios of the 3 shift around depending the typing of braking.

The only draw back to drilled brakes is they are not as structurally strong compared to solid and slotted if the slots are not too deep. They can potentially develop cracks around the drilled holes in the rotor.

Slotted pads far as I know do not increase pad life, they help keep the rotors clean of dust and trapped gases is their main reason for use.
