Curious if any other members seem to be stuck in the “In Production” phase of the process? With rumblings of a chip shortage and more constraints with XLT Luxury Package items will our Mavericks be built before Christmas?! It’s quite frustrating now especially having ordered in June when orders first opened up and seeing others get their Maverick in two months or less! A second car is now needed for my family and ot sucks being stuck in this phase and unfortunately the way the car market is now, makes it difficult to buy a car for a fair price, let alone find cars on the lot!

No. Spray-in bed liners are a constraint....has been an issue for a while now. I had the same delay on my XL which I will be picking up tomorrow and ordered in July.

If I knew this would be an issue for this Long I would have bought another car. Might be happening soon. Losing patience.

My understanding is Ford is subbing the DIBL for the SIBL. That may speed things up for you, but not by Christmas, unfortunately. 😔

I called Ford Customer Service about the delay with my build - specifically that it has been built and is now sitting in the Mexican desert waiting for chips. The response that I received was that they could not comment on the chip shortage or when they will be installed but that they would open a case for me and document my concerns. Total BS (and not Bronco Sport) - IMHO.

I also have a hybrid XLT, lux package, and co-pilot. There has to be some type of delay with the lux package. I've been following a few FB groups, and I haven't seen any like mine being built. I'm going to drop the lux package and just order the hitch to hopefully speed things up. My priority code at the dealer I ordered from is a 10.

Keep this in mind. Ford is now in holiday mode for the next three weeks. They are all on paid holiday leave to enjoy time off with their families. Nothing is being built and nothing is being scheduled until January.

I think they're keeping the SIBL for people that ordered before that was cut and that's the hold up. Outside of the obvious chip shortage. Double whammy man!

Received my 'Your Maverick Has Been Built" email this morning. It was scheduled for production last week, and was built this week. HPR Maverick hybrid lariat luxury 360.

I'd probably bet money that your dealership hasn't yet earned enough allocations to get your order built and delivered. It's a weird business model.

I ordered an XLT, Lux package and co-pilot 360. I think there’s a parts shortage for the XLT lux package other than the SIBL. I read Tim Bartz’ post on constraints for January. Only 18% are lux packages. I’m calling my dealership today and am dropping the lux package. I hope that improves my chances to get a production date. I’m a priority code 10.

The next three weeks would include the weeks starting with 12/20, 12/27, and 1/3.

But a while back I saw a number of folks with builds scheduled for 12/20 and 1/3.

Has that changed? Did you see an announcement somewhere that those build dates are cancelled and the plant will be closed for production for those three weeks?

I'm concerned because my build is scheduled to occur in that three week "holiday mode" period.

I saw a YouTube video with the person saying Ford is closed for the holidays as I mentioned above.

Dropping the luxury package is a big difference from what you ordered. If you can wait for what you want, you should wait. Big purchase.

Builds that are scheduled should happen. The next three weeks there will be no future builds scheduled. Three Thursdays without the honor of having the privilege of not being selected for a build date. Someone needs to set up a support group.

That's how I understand it as well. (See my earlier post here.)

But @RonR1959 says that the plant is not producing during those weeks.

I'm trying to find out if he has some basis for that, because my truck is scheduled in that time frame.

I am hoping he will respond and let us know.

some members were able to secure short term car leases with favorable terms from their dealers where they ordered their Maverick. Maybe look into this to fill the 2nd car need for now?
