Thanks, I do know about this, but what I read from other posts, this will only affect the MTE calc and not do any recalibration to the speedometer, apparently these are two separate systems.
thanks for your response
I am similar and you are correct that AFE bias is only for the MPG calculations.

The difference is so insignificant it’s not worth it to me. At 80mph I’m actually going 81mph.

And technically recording less miles on the odometer.

For me it’s the other direction, my speedo says 70, when my gps says 67, which means the odometer reading is also more mileage than actually traveled, just a pain in the but

You got smaller tires?

Same exact tire size just different thread depth
Sounds like the tires aren’t the issue and you probably need to calibrate the Speedo or your gps is off.

They are on my F150, and I used a tuner to set the tire diameter for speed/distance first. Then adjusted the AFE. The speed is also easy to adjust with Forscan, first corrections when new I did in Forscan with the GPS truing calculator. These changes will get you close but being the geek I kept adjusting, closing in on the best accuracy I could get, generally overshooting accuracy then adjusting back to best.

You will notice a very tidy engine bay with the MPC EB. I understand the Tremor has a more compliant ride than any Maverick. With employee pricing you got a decent deal. A lot of truck for the money. Enjoy!

GPS can be very accurate especially averaged over distance. GPS use time and satellite signals independent of the vehicle for calculating speed and are near always most accurate.

Correct so something must be off with his speedo to be showing that difference for a tire that is ever so slightly larger.

I am so used to using GPSs that they are my speedometer. I adopted use in the late 1990s for remote tripping, and use Garmin auto units to this day. If I scrounged probably 4 handheld, 3 automotive units, and a few laptop GPS USB pucks, are in the home.

The biggest difference is the AT tires imo, you can’t ask as much from them in cornering. Still handles quite well tho

I don't know you but given what you have said I assume this is your new ride

If so, very nice!

Got a couple more days before I take possession.
A question for those that have owned both a Tremor and a non Tremor Mav.

Under normal daily driving, especially in the twisties, the back roads and highways and byways.

Was there any noticeable handling differences ?
I see why you’re asking about handling differences - since Pepper had the standard EB RDU while your Tremor will be equipped with the twin-clutch torque-vectoring RDU.

Your Tremor should have a ā€œModeā€ that will be perfect & wonderful for your twisty turnies. Don’t know what ā€œModeā€ that will be - have fun figuring it out. I’m jealous:)

You’ll also be experiencing the redesign 2.0 ICE. Let us know if you notice a difference? Port Injection & Aluminum Valve covers…

Not sure if you’ll have a GPF - but that is a win/win. If you have one you’ll be required to do an occasional Italian Tuneup. If you don’t have one, you can do one anyway:)

I think you will find out that the Tremor has a bit (maybe more than bit ? A smidge??) more body roll when cornering during spirited driving. That is due to the more compliant suspension of the Tremor and of course the increased body/suspension height. The tires seem to grip just fine to me, mines a '23 so it still has the original Falken 3's on it, I've tried to make 'em break loose in tight corners a few times, but I did not succeed in those efforts- I suppose I should try harder šŸ˜…

And those uneven intersections, you know the ones where you slow down so yer head don't bounce off the headliner?? In my Tremor 40 to 45 MPH seems to be the sweet spot for those and railroad crossings.

It also will handle all those "unimproved" roads up the NC mountains without issue, just watch your side clearances if you like your paint šŸ˜‰

So, no test drive? It sounds like a proposal on the first date..
Feel is a subjective experience.
Considering your fuel cost will go up, you'd better like it - A lot!

P.S. Are you one of those guys who goes for looks and assesses personality later?
I know you tend to go for the "hottie", but those tend to be more fun on an occasional basis, rather than one you actually want to live with...

In any case, enjoy the ride.
