I had zero issue disabling start/stop on my 2024 via Forscan.
And you can easily back up your factory settings and re-flash them whenever.
I'll probably try that. The truck's been at the dealership for a couple days now. Still waiting for info.

I am assuming the Maverick has Battery-Management-System, that will be dis-abled using Forscan, dis-connecting the trailer brake system, or dis-connecting the BMS itself from the battery. Lot of folks will say this does not effect anything, but the wrong state of charge can begin can-bus issues with a bunch of mysterious system faults. A flash programer or a wired in system configuration modification do no affect the BMS.

The only downside is that if you disable it in Forscan, it's then turned off no matter what unless/until you re-enable it in Forscan. I like the module because it remembers the last setting - there are some rare occasions when I do still want it to shut off while stopped.

As someone who has logged a lot of OBD-II data on multiple Fords including SOC, I can assure you that neither do auto start/stop BCM settings configured in FORScan, nor do they cause system faults. The BMS configuration in the BCM is completely independent from auto start/stop configuration.

The Forscan specific line is, BMS/Auto Start Stop, enable or disable, on the F150. Might be different due to model year or specific vehicle.

I bought a 4D Tech eliminator for my new 2025 XLT and popped off the console side cover, bent back the metal cover, plugged it in, bent cover back and it was all done. That was 2 months ago and it works great.
