A larger rear view mirror is needed, the factory one is horrible ....

I have finally had it with the rear view mirror in my XL. No matter what position I'm sitting in it seems to be off and in the wrong spot when I look in the mirror. Its too small. I know one of the other Ford models must have a larger mirror that uses the same mounting system. I DO NOT WANT one of those goofy mirrors that clip over the factory one. Before I spend a lot of time looking/researching on eBay I figured I would ask you guys. I don't want something fancy or complicated, just bigger like from a larger Ford truck or something.

I'm curious about this. Even though I don't have an issue with the size of it, I'd be intrigued in a bigger one, if it's not something annoying and expensive to get installed.

Why not just get the clip on one if you're fed up with the existing one? My wife has one and she loves it. Most people don't give a sh-- what your mirror looks like. I don't even notice her's when I drive her car.

If you decide to go for a whole new mirror. There may be some out there with homelink built in. Probably not cheap, but if you are gonna replace the whole thing at least get a price.

Get a broadway mirror. I’ve had one on all my cars since I can remember (including my XL maverick). Doesn’t look goofy to me. It looks rather clean and unobtrusive. Visibility is superior to any OEM design I’ve experienced.

Just like DIYDAD said, get a Broadview mirror from Amazon, we have them in every car we own.

My subaru had auto-dimming mirrors and I really appreciated them. I've already found myself irritated with bright headlights shinning into my eyes from both the side and rear view mirrors. Makes driving at night more of a chore.

I had the auto dim on my Subaru too, didn’t like it. It was never as dark as the standard flip mirror. I’ve had six eye surgeries so am really sensitive to glare and the auto dim just didn’t do the job.

I’d agree my lariat mirror could be wider and is a little small but I actually like the flip up feature for night driving as well
