Not many EV chargers in the "Projects", right? If there were, what would go first the Slate or the Charger? Asking for a friend.Crotchety old guy here. One issue I see for the Slate is that the folks who most could use a vehicle that starts at under $25k tend not to have access to dedicated EV charging.
If we were renting a home or apartment an EV or plug-in hybrid at any price becomes a more difficult sell.
E.g. between this and the upcoming Ford EV truck the idea of the Ford has more won over my wife who is thinking about something to replace her Golf because the Ford will certainly have more creature comforts (expect it to have a radio and power windows and expect it to have a trim level that includes heated seats), but we have the possibility to install a charger since we have our own home.
I think we won't pull the trigger in the next year anyway so we'll have to see.
