Cracked outside mirror on 23XLT Hybrid

I just noticed a very thin diagonal Crack on the driver's side mirror. I haven't hit anything - at least not on purpose! I have about 3 months/4 miles of warranty left. Could this be covered?

If wishes were horses, beggars would ride!! Seriously, I doubt it. Too many things could have caused the mirror crack. Ask the dealer if you want, but don't get to worked up about it. Find a replacement and keep on Mavericking!!

Unless it can be a demostraited that it’s a manufacturing problem, getting warranty coverage could be hard. I would try, it don’t be surprised if they say no.

Perhaps you can get a hold of @brucedelap
he just replaced the glass in his driver side mirror. He may be able to offer some pointers for you.

Depending on where and how bad the crack is, I'd even just try using thin cyanoacrylate glue with a wick applicator.

After being told the OEM mirror/glass was on backorder with no ETA, I replaced my broken mirror with the following for $27 and it works fine. Easy to snap off the old one and snap on the new one. Simple snap on wire connections for heater and blind spot monitor.
