I towed in Normal drive mode. It seemed to work well as is, so I didn't switch it. Anyone that is hesitating buying a Maverick because of towing worries is missing out.
Shortly after I bought my Maverick, I pulled a 3 place enclosed snowmobile trailer that had 2 large ATV's onboard for a couple of hundred miles.
Other than seeing the trailer in the rear-view mirror, you almost could not tell it was towing anything. After having a number of F-150's that I towed...
That Faraday bag is a good idea.
My truck has a key, so someone would have to break the window and find the key to start it. But if you have push-to-start, then even if you hid a keyfob it would have to be taken out of the bag to start the truck.
For me, it is good money spent on a keypad...
I've done the programming myself for the third key before for other Fords with 2 keys. But they just jumped in and did it for me after cutting the key, with their programming tool.....this place I found specializes in car key fobs, not just a general locksmith.
I know $75 bucks is cheap for the...
Here's what I did after I lost my keys when shopping with my truck locked in the parking lot.
My 23 has a keypad, so I found a local locksmith that had keyfobs in stock, and cut and programmed it to my truck all for $75. Then I hid it under the drivers seat frame with velcro.
So now, pretty...
MY 23 Ecoboost does the same thing, a couple of times a year.
The fact that the rear "rises" when you try to move, shows the brakes are engaged and the transmission is in fact trying to move the vehicle. So problem is with a brake not releasing, not the transmission engaging.
Probably a...
Here's mine:
I'm now 65.
Bought this 1967 Mustang when it was only about 10 years old, when I was 16, used my paper route money.
Sold originally at Arrow Ford in Abilene, TX.
I am the third owner.
My dad was the last owner of the first Ford dealership in the state of Wisconsin.
I guess...
Someone else asked me about this about this also. Apparently it is no longer available on Ebay. But you could try to contact Telemachus. I believe he designed it or made it.
Sure. Its been a while, so I'll do my best. It is a small box that wires into the shifter under the center console, that basically pushes the drive mode switch for you. It is programmable for the number of times to push to get the mode you want, and I think even the time delay to push after...
You're right, the purpose of the fuse is to protect the weakest link in the wiring to the device, along with providing the power required by the module without "nuisance blows".
So if you are using 18 gauge stranded wire to drive the module, it is only recommended to carry around 5-6 amps...
Thanks for the info. Seems like almost all of these things listed are activated when you add the ACC/Lane Centering. The thing I personally would like to add from CoPilot 360 is the Blind Spot warning. Has anyone actually done that, and if so, what specific hardware and wiring did you have to...
I think you need more hardware than just the mirrors to add CoPilot 360. There should be radar sensors in the plastic fascia around the perimeter of the vehicle that have to be added as well; I would guess it's more work to add the CoPilot than the radar sensor in the grill. I haven't seen...
No, anyone who installed ACC on a truck with the vacuum booster will have the DTC issue. The symptom of the "Adaptive Cruise Not Available" dash warning comes along with the DTC, so you will have them unless you change the booster.
No, I don't. But only the Hybrid vehicles or the ones that came from the factory with ACC will have the electric brake booster. Lariat or FX4 doesn't determine which brake booster you have.
Mine stops very well too with the vacuum booster.
I have the same Ecoboost and ACC installed as you, and unfortunately unless you change your brake booster (and brake lines etc) from the vacuum unit you have to an electric booster version that the factory ACC vehicles have, you will have to put up with the warning "Adaptive Cruise Not...
It sure is.
I have a 23 Ecoboost XLT lux without CP360, and just got ACC and Lane Centering working.
It takes a little more tinkering and getting help from other gracious members without the CP360. There seems many more that have done it to Hybrids, so you have lots of info to assist you.
It...
I'm not sure.
Ford parts websites that I've seen encourage you to use a feature that checks if your part fits your vehicle, I suppose to minimize returns.
So I took the C-CM part number used by others with 22 or 23 Mavericks, and went to order one from an on-line Ford parts dealer, and the...
