I received a message that I will be receiving the software update over the air for Safety Recall 25C69 for my 25 XLT Hybrid.

i could have just waited?? i had to take mine to the dealer and leave it there for 5 hours....then go back and pick it up when they were done. i specifically asked why a software update couldn't be done OTA...i got the honest answer "i don't know".

I was told the OTA does not always take.

The last updates I've gotten were all done in my garage. Dealer sends out a tech and a laptop. No charge, no wait, no hassle. Takes about 10 minutes. Look for a dealer that offers free mobile service.

Quick follow up...confirming this recall software update worked today just sitting in the garage without need for mobile tech.

Once the recall software has been installed and completed, you should see the confirmation message on the screen when the vehicle is started. Also you can go to the screen and select Software Updates.

Another way is open the Ford app and go to Schedule....Software Udpates.

Is there anything that you activated to get the schedule software option? I only have "scheduling of remote start" available!

No, there was nothing I went to specifically get the software update. I received a message on the screen that said that the software was available and it was going to install automatically the following day. This will only work as long as you have you have your settings set for automatic updates along with available times. I would go into your screen Settings and double check that everything is "set" to what you want especially in the Automatic Updates category.

Even if you have auto updates set to off, you will still get a notification that there is an update in queue. The difference is, you will need to manually give it permission to install instead of it installing on its own based on your set auto updates schedule.

Don't bother - wrong year.

Last radio update was with the rear vew camera recall.

I know it's not my year. I was wondering about any updates. I haven't had the fuse plugged in in over a year. I don't know if it matters, it can't connect to my home internet either. When I changed wifi modem and router. I never gave it the new address or password.
