2023 Hybrid, coming up on 3 yrs with 21k miles on the truck, I guess I don't drive much comparing to a lot of people out there.

Maintenance Services(DIY):
- Changed oil 3x
- Rotated tires 4x
- Changed wiper blades 1x
- Filled up on windshield wiper fluid multiple times
- Added coolant to the reservoir 1x to get it above the min mark
- Local dealer sent out mobile tech to perform recalls 2x
- Average: 38mpg

`24 Lariat Hybrid, just over a year old, just under 7000 miles. No issues, no problems. Love it!
Ford pretty much had all the bugs worked out on the 2024 models. Then They Changed it !

Bought mine new, May 2025. Only at 3500 miles right now. Still planning on a few mods.....later though. I like it all original right now. Has all the bells and whistles I need. Only mod I have done was tint front windows, and the windshield strip.

I have a 24 XLT, EB that will be 2 years in mid July. It has had 1 oil change so far and I am getting close to 7k on the odometer. I really like the little truck and I have pulled an antique JD No 1, horse drawn, mowing machine about a block and loaded all my metal lawn chairs on my little utility trailer, and oved them 200 feet so I could spray the yard. I really like the Maverick. I paid for the truck the day I bought it and I plan on this being my last vehicle. We normally drive vehicles until they are salvage ready. All the recalls, so far, have been related to software. Ford, get your head out of your butt.

what kind of mpg … taken not many miles yet
From what I see and my figures my 2026 Hybrid Meverick does not get the MPG, the computer is saying. I'm getting good, 33.6 MPG, but not the 38.9 MPG my computer is saying. Has anyone checked their actual MPG. Now I've only checked this one time and I'm yet to go over a 1,000 miles. I'm old and don't drive much but I do know how to manually check the gas milage. 2026 Maverick, XLT, AWD, 4k towing, Lux package, speakers on mine are busted...........

Ordered October 2021, received April 2023, love it so much I'd drive it everyday but I love our MX-5 just a tiny bit more. So wife drives Mav every day.

After 4,000 miles your mileage WILL go up.
But even then the computer is optimistic- ours is consistently 2-3mpg high but wife doesn't want me to fix it. You can adjust it in engineer settings. If I were you I'd wait until 10k miles to adjust it.

Are you sure that applies to the current generation? How would a person get to the engineering settings?

Mine has been between 1 and 1.5 mpg off for the last 3-4 fills. I use the same pump and fill method.

Bought mine 1/2024 have 40,000 on it. 2.0 Ecoboost is fine. No issues.Don’t get the mileage I want average is 24 mpg city/highway combined. Even road trips averaged 26 mpg. 🤔 also not impressed with the AWD. I heard Ford may have fixed this issue with the new 25s and 26s with software upgrades for this AWD. Will see

25 XL Hybrid AWD. 30k on it already getting 44.9mpg so far. Regular service and 2 recalls. Noticing a “hard shift” when it shifts from elec-gas and gas-electric at high speeds to slowing down. And coasting down long hills.

Of course Ford will exaggerate the mileage as much as they can. That sells.

But saying that, your computers mileage will become far more accurate after say 10,000 miles.
My Ecoboost while under 3,000 miles showed me 28 mpg average.
Putting pen to paper I got 25 mpg.

I’m now getting 27 with the dash showing 28
I’m good.
When you change your 12volt battery this process starts again.

Hi Tim. Not sure what you mean by "make a difference". Please elaborate. :D
Hmmm. Don't recal
I'm shocked at the positivity in this thread, I legitimately thought all Mavericks were like mine.

Bought new in 22, 120K kms on it.

Too many recalls to count.

RDU sensor failed and thank goodness I replaced it myself and didn't pay the dealer $1000 to do it.

CEL Light on now for a emissions issue that is wiring related.

Those stupid little rubber seals on the cab that were never attached properly.

Stock tires didn't last 25K kms.

Currently scheduled to have my axles replaced under the CSP because all of the original ones were trash.

Deep Sleep Issues.

And my Dealer has gone out of their way to ruin my experience pretty much every time, including multiple day airbag recall process because they forgot to plug in the new airbags, and dinging my door hard enough that they it needed time in a body shop that did a terrible job repairing it.

When I bought my truck it was 10G less than other options I considered. I decided the 10G was worth the inevitable problems I would have owning a first year ford (FYI, I previously owned a 2013 Focus from new that was the worst vehicle and worst dealer experience I'll ever have in my life guaranteed, so I knew what I was getting myself into). I still think the Maverick was the right choice for me, I'm not sure I'd sign myself up to do it again at this point. But we'll see how long I can keep this truck going, I plan to maintain it and drive it as long as I can.
I suppose I lucked out even though it didn't feel like it at the time. Ordered my XLT in '22 and after months I got canceled and then converted to a '23. After I got canceled I ordered a Lariat that came in a few months after the XLT and I got $2k more than I paid for the XLT when I traded it in.

By "make a difference" I ment you need to be an advocate for yourself and not take any crap from the salesman. Educate yourself and if you don't take any crap they won't give you crap.

22 Hybrid XL. Currently sitting at 71k mileage since purchase. No drivability issues except I do think my CV axel is doing the wobble think lately. Plan on doing the CSB on Thant and have all the outstanding recalls done. Still average well over 40mpg ( currently 45mpg with mild weather in the mid-Atlantic) . I do my own oil changes and change the air/cabin filter usually every other oil change. One new set if tires. That is it so far
