IMO..... Yes! We have used Covercraft winshield products on all of our cars and they are quality made, last a very long time, and most importantly block alot of the heat and UV from from the sun on the dash/steering wheel/seats. Have even used some (same original one ) on multiple cars over 13 yrs and still look new.

We found The one from Ford is cheaper than what can be purchased otherwise, and with the 20% discount and free Ford points is a DEAL!

Only complaint about the Ford one...... its says "Maverick" on it...... would prefer nothing. As for tinting a windshield, would still do it for the drive experience only.

I bought one from Ford about a year ago and used it once. I'm too lazy to go through putting it up and taking it down. I'm so lazy that I won't take the time to list it. It's still standing in the corner and the box is on the work bench.:sneaky:

Hence why I ended up going with full windshield tint and a pop open sun shade tucked between the seat and center console. I've had roll up and Z-fold sun shades and there's no doubt they work better on an untinted windshield. But I am way too lazy to grab it from the bed or back seat, set it up, take it down, and put it away, so I never used them.

Tint is always on the vehicle, and the pop up sun shade takes 5 seconds to set up and stow away.

I did the same on my current vehicle. 70% ceramic tint on the entire windshield. I park the truck outside in the Vegas summer heat and with just a cheap universal pop-open sunshade, the cab is barely warmer than ambient.

I'm not a fan of those Z-fold or roll-up sunshades. Yes they work better than a pop-open one without windshield tint, but the pop-open one fits in a door pocket or tucks between the seat and center console rather than taking up space on the back seat or stowed behind the back seat.
The company that did my ceramic coating sells and installs a window tint film like the one used on the door glass that is clear. It blocks UV rays and keeps the interior cooler. Any tinting of the windshield is illegal in Canada, so that works great for us. I haven't priced it out yet, but it is new and available.

Same in basically all US states. Most states allow a strip at the top, but tinting the entire windshield is technically illegal.

However, 70% tint is virtually clear. I highly doubt I'd ever get stopped for it. Even an inspector wouldn't be able to tell the windshield is tinted unless they take a really close look along the dot matrix around the perimeter of the windshield.

Agreed
Almost in perceptible.
I see this type of tint on a windshield breaking the law. The same as doing 5 miles an hour over the speed limit is breaking the law.
Technically it's breaking law but it takes a petty 🐎 💩 cop to write a ticket for it.

My Wife uses the Umbrella type in her car but I’m not sure if it would fit the Mav’s windshield? It stores easily in the door pocket.

I think tint covered (entire) windshields are illegal in MO too, but tinters will do it anyways.

Brother lived in Gainesville FLA..... a cop stopped him once for having too dark of shade on his windows. The cop took out a razor blade and cut an 'X' in his driver side window tint and gave him a ticket for being to dark.

When I bought my Mav in early 24 I also bought a custom fit but cheap windshield sun shade on Amazon.
Now it's gotten kind of floppy and the inner layer is flaking off here and there, so it's time to replace it. (Southern California sun is a killer.) I looked at the genuine Ford one and it's $109, which seems rather steep to say the least, even with the current 20% off.
Can any of you comment on whether it's remotely worth it? I'd also welcome other suggestions. Thanks!
Worth it for my use-case and I used Ford points from original purchase. I've been using the Maverick OEM sunshade for 3 years, 150 days a year. I can install it in less than 10 seconds. It will last the life of the truck and it will continue to get good use in my sunny driveway.

I bought the Ford one with my points. I like it. They are made by cover craft so I bought one for my wife's Palisade
