Windshield sun shade - is the Ford one worth the $$?

When I bought my Mav in early 24 I also bought a custom fit but cheap windshield sun shade on Amazon.
Now it's gotten kind of floppy and the inner layer is flaking off here and there, so it's time to replace it. (Southern California sun is a killer.) I looked at the genuine Ford one and it's $109, which seems rather steep to say the least, even with the current 20% off.
Can any of you comment on whether it's remotely worth it? I'd also welcome other suggestions. Thanks!

I can say that I purchased the one from ford when I got my MY22 truck. I fits perfectly and is still in great shape, I not sure who the mfg was on it nor if the current one they sell is made by the same mfg. been extremely pleased with mine

I ordered one with my Ford points. As previously mentioned it’s pretty good quality. I’ve had mine for a couple years and it’s held up very well.

A good windshield sunshade is a wonderful thing, and we purchased the Mabett version made for our Mavericks.

The price in Canada is displayed.

Ours is multi-layered, so also acts like an insulator to help keep the suns heat out, it folds for storage and is very sturdy. Black on one side, reflective grey on the other side.

Ours is modified, my wife deepened the center cut and sealed the edge so as to allow for our dash cam and also hides it from the sun/heat when installed! This is a major cause of dashcam failure, by overheating, IMHO.

I got mine at the parts counter using my points. It has MAVERICK, on it.

The Ford one is thick and works well. Mine is ripping at one of the seams.

I did the same on my current vehicle. 70% ceramic tint on the entire windshield. I park the truck outside in the Vegas summer heat and with just a cheap universal pop-open sunshade, the cab is barely warmer than ambient.

I'm not a fan of those Z-fold or roll-up sunshades. Yes they work better than a pop-open one without windshield tint, but the pop-open one fits in a door pocket or tucks between the seat and center console rather than taking up space on the back seat or stowed behind the back seat.

If it's what I'm thinking, you probably wouldn't notice it's tinted. I have 70% ceramic tint on the entire windshield and I'd have to tell you it was tinted for you to maybe see a difference.

Can’t speak for the Ford one. I have the @MABETT one and it fits perfectly. I’m sure its less expensive too.

I spent $9 for a sunshield at Wallymart. One minute with a pair of scissors and it fits perfectly.
