Swap rear USB charging plug for a normal 12v cigarette lighter plug?

On my 2023 Hybrid XLT, there is an outlet with 2 USB plugs mounted in the center console facing the rear seats. What I need back there is an old fashioned cigarette lighter outlet, which I think could easily fit in the same place were the USB outlets are.

The question is: will I find 12vdc power feeding those USB outlets?

USB is 5 volts. I haven't pulled it apart since I use it for USB, but that's typically not converted at the port, but it's typically done under the dash with 5 volts running back to the port. Maybe someone else has pulled it apart and can give a definiteive answer.

The wiring diagram shows both the rear power outlet & usb charge ports at the back of the consol.
I would pull the cover off & see if the connector is there taped back to the harness

Interesting diagram. I'm generally pretty good with wiring diagrams, but that one is somewhat confusing, as it does show 12v going to both a "power outlet socket" and the "USB charge port". I guess I'll have to pull it apart and find out.

My XLT is equipped with the USB charge port and 400w inverter outlet (which I will probably never use) on the back of the console, instead of 2 separate outlets like the two in the center of that diagram.

UPDATE: I pulled the back cover off the console and checked the voltage to the USB outlet. I was amazed to see 14.4VDC available on the plug that connects that outlet. So, the actual plug must step the voltage down to 5v.

Pretty tiny wires though.

Now to see if Ford had a regular cig lighter outlet with the same connector...

That 22GA wire can only handle 5A max & I know Ford doesn't make a power point socket with that connection.
You could always tap into one of the box power points, the wiring runs down the right rear sill panel.
You could also check connector C302 pin 40 for a white & brown wire & extend it to the back of the consol

You have a hybrid, so the 12v battery is under the rear seat. You can grab a 12v socket kit from a lot of places that will tap right into the battery connections (make sure it has a fuse!) and give you a power point that you can place as you'd like. Many have a faceplate that will help integrate it into the rear of the console.

That is an idea that I could easily do... but? I have seen somewhere that you shouldn't connect anything directly to the 12v battery under the seat because it will mess with the computer that controls the charging for that battery. Maybe that's wrong. Comments welcome.

Im talking about the feed for the 2 power points in the box
Under that trim there's some white plastic boxing for the harness & the harness is not wrapped there.
On my 25 they split the circuit on 2 fuses & wiring runs down both sides. On 22 to 24 they use a single circuit that splits under the box. in your case I would look for a 14GA violet & brown wire on the left side first

Always shop around. Sometimes parts are cheaper brand new through Ford than they sell for used on Ebay. Those were just the first links I found.

I looked, didn't see a wire coming from BJB to C200 pin 36 for 12V power outlet socket on my XLT.

I'd looked at C200 when I did heated seats.
